Which one will be better, getting a BBA from iim Indore or from chirst university banglore?

RT
Radhika Tiwari Posted On : August 20th, 2021
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Indore (2019)

Having done some research on both the colleges, I have gathered some information which I am going to share with you. Hope this answers your question.

  • Christ University Bangalore is a more experienced institute. It has the locational advantage being in Bangalore, which is the IT hub of India.
  • A student of Christ University enjoys higher chances of being hired by IT MNC firms, after completing BBA.
  • There is no exit option for the IPM course in IIM Indore once enrolled.
  • In the current scenario, companies are showing preference to students who have a multi-disciplinary background. Pursuing a BBA and MBA with specializations will be a better option than pursuing a program for five years.
  • Moreover, the average packages offered to the students who are pursuing IPM is less than that offered to the students who are pursuing PGDM.
Categories Christ University Bangalore
Course Fee 5 lakhs
Highest CTC 8 LPA
Average CTC 3.56 LPA
Recruiting Companies Tech Mahindra, Accenture, IBM, Dell, etc.

The final two years of IPM are PGDM. The reason for this is that IPM students have to take IPMAT and for PGDM, they will have to take CAT. CAT is much more difficult than the former. In addition to that, IPM is a new course. So it is really not worth the enormous amount of money. In Christ University, you will know the extent of its brand value.

Is MSU Baroda good for a BBA, or should I go for other options?

SB
Sumit Baraiya Posted On : December 29th, 2022
Studied Electrical Engineering at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda

Your decision actually depends on the fact if you want to pursue BBA or you want to study at MSU. This is because if your sole interest is in BBA then trust me there are many better colleges for it. But if you are adamant about studying at MSU, then it’s better you search for your own interests.

I will recommend you take the aptitude test which is free in the psychology department. This test will let you decide what to study. Don’t be a part of the herd and pursue what others are pursuing. Rather follow your own interest that you will not regret later.

Should I do a BBA from Christ University or IBS hyderabad?

SC
Sathwik Chandra Posted On : February 14th, 2023
MBA in Marketing, ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad (Graduated 2018)

It’s your attitude towards learning that matters more than the college itself. Yet if I have to comment on the two colleges, I would say Christ University is a fairly good choice. The main reasons are

  • The fest culture makes you come out of your comfort zones and test your limits and diversify your talents.
  • The overqualified rules set by the college increase your patience level ten folds
  • You get to live in Bangalore, the city of innumerable opportunities and dreams.

However, if you are joining the college with the mindset of being taught then you need to rectify it. Here it’s you who has to force yourself to learn no one is going to push you. Anyone who wants to learn about business, in reality, will not be able to gain much from this B School. The B School churns out managers only. Rarely does it give birth to a business owner or entrepreneur despite the university’s module for entrepreneurship in a semester.

Why is IMS Noida not preferred for a BBA although it holds a very good rank in India today?

AM
Aditya M Posted On : March 10th, 2023
MBA in Marketing & Finance, S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) (Graduated 2021)

In today’s age and time, the worth and reputation of a college are determined by its popularity in the digital world. People tend to conduct an online search before choosing their college. Now there are many private institutes that provide inflated or misleading data mainly for advertisement purposes. Such institutes are considered high in ranking due to fake figures. The same is the case with IMS. To look good on the internet many private institutes pay a lot of money to magazines or websites and even go to the extent of writing fake reviews

I am not saying my claim is true for all the private institutes. There are also many who have genuine reviews and good reputations because of the quality of education, management, and infrastructure. Mainly the Government institutes provide the most honest reviews as there is no money involved.

My brother is an IMS Noida pass out and from his experience, I came to know the truth that IMS is just an ordinary college which whose last concern is maintaining the quality of education. It's more like a money-making machine. The following points further support my claim

  • The infrastructure is average not at par with the leading institutes
  • The pedagogy is extremely poor and the faculty just provides monotonous lectures and dictates notes
  • There are no cultural events or activities within campus
  • The administration is average and needs a lot of improvement

What I mean is that rankings and reviews should be the only determining factor while choosing an institute. The best way is to contact alumni and clear your doubts.

Is it worth spending money for a BBA at NMIMS, Mumbai?

YS
Yash Sanghvi Posted On : February 28th, 2023
Lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (2015–present)

My sister has recently completed her BBA with a specialization in Finance from NMIMS and she told me about the actual placement scenario of the college. She agrees with the fact that NMIMS is a top B School with an excellent curriculum and faculty. You will be offered amazing opportunities in the form of working in a big MNC or becoming an entrepreneur.

However, the situation of placements is not what it seems from the reports. Although my sister was able to get placed she witnessed many of her batch mates unplaced or placed with a very minimal package. Many companies visit the campus owing to the great brand value but the major problem that arises is the huge batch size. The competition is tough as the intake is very high. This year the total intake is BBA 600; BCOM 180. Henceforth very low packages are offered that are not even close to those mentioned in the placement reports.

In my sister's batch apart from 3 students, every student got a package of less than 3 LPA. Deloitte hired less than 17 students. While the placement scenario was really poor, the knowledge that she gained in those 3 years did help her pass CFA level-1 the next year. So it’s you who can decide if the money you spend is worth it or not by determining what you really want from your BBA.

Which one is the better option, a BBA from DU or from IIM Rohtak?

MR
Mukund N Rao Posted On : January 10th, 2023
Studies at Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (Expected 2024)

Many people consider DU as a better option especially if it’s any of the top 3-4 colleges. Yet I chose IIM Rohtak. Now I am going to list down reasons why one should choose DU or IIM Rohtak separately

Why one should go for DU

  • You end up saving more than 10 lakhs which is a big amount
  • The BBA course here is fairly new and promising
  • The location advantage one avail while studying DU is far better than Rohtak.
  • If one is sure that they can clear CAT

Why one should go for IIM Rohtak

  • If you are a non-math student and have zero interest in commerce
  • If you want to give one more chance CAT, you can give it after 3 years.
  • The additional 10 lakhs rupees becomes more like insurance for your seat reserved in IIM Rohtak. This will save you from taking a year drop and an additional year to work.

Now on the basis of the above points, you can make a decision that suits you the best.

Which college is better to study BBA in business? Amity or NMIMS?

AB
Advaith Bhaskar Posted On : March 22nd, 2023
Lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (2000–present)

In my opinion, NMIMS Mumbai is a much better option than Amity. NMIMS offers a number of specialized BBA courses and the placement scenario is much better at NMIMS than Amity.

Mumbai is called the Mecca for Finance. It has a better and larger number of MNCs and firms that offer excellent exposure in contrast to Amity where the opportunities will be somewhat limited.

On the basis of the Management program, NMIMS even has better rankings than Amity.
