But as far as placements are concerned, M. Tech in chemical engineering from IIT BHU may not sound as many of the core as well as non- core companies are not open for placement to this branch. The major recruiters in the core sector for B.tech students in chemical engineering are Reliance and BPCL but both of them are not open for M.Tech students. Also, many big companies in the non–core sector like those of software, finance, data analysts are also not open for M.Tech students. That is why the average package for M.Tech students in chemical engineering is low. But the M. Tech degree of chemical engineering from IIT BHU can be quite valuable because it helps in off-campus placements and increases the chances of getting promotion in jobs over B.Tech students.
