This institute provides admission for most of the courses based on science (non-medical) background. The best courses if you are from the commerce stream are B.Com (Accounting and Finance) or BBA (Bachelor’s of Business Administration)
Both the fields require strong analytical skills , good communication and knowledge in economics to meet the industry demands. Look out for better opportunities in these fields and analyze them before setting up on one.
You can also pursue something unrelated to what you studied during 12th, like Fashion Designing or Journalism and Mass Communication.
If you are applying for Commerce in Mumbai, then Mithibai is definitely the better option. Reasons for choosing Mithibai over Ruparel College are obvious. In 2021, Mithibai College ranking was 10 for Commerce (by Indiatoday). It is a great college with a decent infrastructure and faculty base. All these factors make Mithibai a better option as compared to Ruparel.
Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) provides higher education only after class 12th, with the exception of class 10th for diploma and ITI certificate courses.
Like DEI there is another institute linked with it named REI (Radhasoami Educational Institute).
This institute provides education from classes 1 to 12th. REI has its own board. It provides the 12th equivalent course like CBSE and UP boards. Graduating 12th from REI is equivalent to graduating 12th from both of these.
If you want to get admission in 11th (Commerce) at DEI you have to fill the application form of REI which is an affiliated college of DEI. After this, the entrance test will be held by this institute which includes a written exam and interview. On the basis of a written test and interview a collective merit will be prepared, on the basis of which you will be selected.
Both ARSD and Venky College are reputed colleges but ARSD has a slight edge for commerce courses. ARSD has the best faculty for the commerce department. Although Venky College offers better placement opportunities. So, choose the institute based on what you want out of the course.
