Remarks :

For admission to BIT you need to clear COMEDK. Cut off have varied vastly from 2021-2022 so you may need to crosscheck from official data. The application process is easy but the counseling takes way too long.

Course Curriculum Overview :

ECE gives you insight into both hardware and software giving you more options. There are enough Faculty and some are nice too. The teaching methods are mostly traditional but there are changes taking place. The exams are not timely as it is an affiliated college it all depends on VTU.

Internships Opportunities :

There are internship opportunities available in BIT but there is no hundred percent internship placement record in that regard. The students can try for off-campus internship opportunities on their own and increase their certifications.

Placement Experience :

The college offers campus placements. The students are eligible for campus placements and internships. There are many companies that visit BIT amongst which TCS, Infosys are the mass recruiting companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fee structure is different for students admitted through COMEDK AND KCET. COMEDK students have almost 1.5 lakhs as yearly fees whereas KCET students' fee amount to about 50k. There are scholarships provided on a different basis.

Campus Life :

The campus in itself is very small. There is no place where you can just hang out with your peers but there is MANTHAN, the annual fest. The college has many clubs students can be a part of. Activities are conducted by clubs. Clubs like TEDx and IEEE are part of BIT. There are some clubs like dance clubs that are active but some of them are inactive too.

Hostel Facilities :

Girls Hostel is very far from college. It is difficult to commute although there is a bus facility which is highly not recommended. The rooms are pretty good. The food according to my northern taste is a bit difficult to adjust to but you will do just fine if you can eat rice.

I chose this course for the sake of Electronics. The teachers are good and knowledgeable where most of them have done their PhDs and the students' strength is around 60 per batch and later lateral entry students will also join.

BMSCE - the oldest and most prestigious college of Bangalore

Placement Experience:

Placements are excellent at BMSCE students get placed from the 5th semester onwards. Some companies which visit include Infosys, Intel, hp, Cisco, etc. The highest package will be 40 to 50 LPA each year and the average package is around 9lpa. In CSE the placements are almost 100% but considering all branches it's around 80%. I am planning to do a job after my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to be an engineer that's why I chose this course. Student 21 and teachers 12 it's the ratio. Teachers are very well qualified but lack the experience that's why teachers join our college to get some experience The teaching is good and smart classes are available. Sem exams are conducted after every 4 months and 3 internals are conducted. Its somewhat difficult to pass the exams, If you study a bit you can pass them.
