IIT JODHPUR

Remarks :

Admission to IIT Jodhpur is based on JOSAA counseling which is based on marks in JEE advanced. The course eligibility is 12th Pass and clearing the cutoff marks of JEE advanced. After Josaa Counselling you will receive a mail from the college which will provide you with the detailed application process. Also, you can find the approximate date of admission on the website of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course Curriculum is good. Some of the faculty are helping in nature and will help you as a guide in your projects. The student Size of our batch was about 500. The faculties are mostly Ph.D. holders and the teaching method is good. Exams are easier to pass and generally two minors and one end sem exam occur.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like Microsoft have provided many internship opportunities to students. These are summer interns and students are generally selected in August. Also, you can take intern if you get a recommendation letter from the professor, but you have to do a project under his supervision.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placement from sem 7 i.e. from the 4th year. Companies like PayPal, Deutsche Bank, Microsoft, De Shaw, etc. have visited the campus and have made many offers. The highest package was 44 LPA while the average package was about 29 LPA. generally, all students get placement and rarely very few are eliminated.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Considering IIT to be a government college the fees should be less but the fees are very high. The total yearly fees considering hostel and mess fees reach about 3 lakhs. Scholarship and Financial Assistance are provided but to some sections considering annual income and caste. Details of this are circulated through mail.

Campus Life :

Life on Campus is unforgettable and most enjoyable. Many fests happen in the college and the biggest fest is IGNUS, the socio-cultural fest of the college. Prometeo is the technical fest of the college. all the fest generally starts in September and ends in March. Many books and journals are available in the library. Lots of clubs and societies are there to showcase your nonacademic talent.

Hostel Facilities :

each student is given a separate room which is included with A.C., almirah, table. the meal quality is not that best but is still ok type. The registration process for the hostel happens along with the admission process college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose to engineer in computer science because I love computers and coding. The student ratio in college is good and the faculty are in good numbers. The faculty is well-qualified and their teaching is good. There are two mid-term and one final semester exam in one semester and it is quite difficult.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the semester. Various big companies visit the campus like Adani, tata, JSW, etc. The highest package recently is 16 lakhs and the average package is about 7 lakhs. In the mech department, more than 50% of students are getting placed. My plan is also to sit in the campus placements only.

You need to pass your engineering degree without getting any backlog. And you will have ample opportunity to be placed in any big company with an average package of 10lakhs and even more. The highest package is 32 lakhs gained by one of the seniors. Nearly 60% of students get placed every year and others do go for gate and other opportunities. I would like to work in government as a government official and this will eventually lead to better growth in my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the CSE course because I want to explore various things in the software department. Here faculty: student ratio is sufficient. All subjects have their particular faculty allotted. All faculties have done their BTech & MTech from known colleges and they teach us interactively that we can relate in our day-to-day life. In 1st year there are no criteria for midterm examinations but from 2nd year onwards there is mid-term examinations in our college, there is a saying that here offline exams are very to difficult to pass. I gave my first-year exams online mode.
