NIT Silchar Admission 

NIT Silchar admission to UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in 20 departments is primarily based on national-level entrance exams. Among all programmes, B.Tech is considered the flagship course offered at NIT Silchar with an approved intake of 884 seats. Admissions to the NIT Silchar BTech course are made on the basis of seats.

Besides the B.Tech Programme, NIT Silchar also offers courses such as M.Tech, MSc, MBA, etc. Admission to these Programmes is based on GATE, IIT JAM, CAT/ MAT/CMAT scores followed by a counseling process. Candidates from outside India are selected through Direct Admission of Students from Abroad (DASA).

Scholarship from the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation: Students can apply for this scholarship if their family's annual income is less than INR 6 lakhs.
