Remarks :
The admission process was not that smooth but the overall experience was fine. I got admission through JEE Main in which I scored 99.53 %ile, I am a General category male so no scope for reservation other than Delhi quota, i.e., 85% of seats are reserved for Delhi students. There were no other Eligibility Criteria other than the ones for JEE Main like 75% marks in PCM in 12th etc. Then there was the JAC Counselling process and when I got a seat allotted in IIITD, I had to go there for a document verification process which was somewhat troublesome because I had to reach there at 9 AM, there were a hell lot of people and the process was not at all systematic. JoSAA did well there, going for online document verification. Other than that I had no problems. Thanks for reading.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Tech in the CSE branch because of my interest in Programming and yes, Placement too. Nonetheless, the faculty here is very good, helpful, and supportive. They have a different teaching system from other institutes. Here we have a head faculty or the main instructor of the subject and Teaching Fellows and Teaching Assistants working under them
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The main drawback of IIITD can safely be said is its Fees Structure. We have around 450000 lac/year fees for B.Tech with a 10% hike every year. There are many scholarships available for EWS of society like 25%, 50%, or 100% relief in fees which you can read in detail on their website.
Campus Life :
Life on Campus is good in comparison to many other institutes. Many annual fests and programs are held there like Odyssey which is held in the last week of January or the first week of February every year. There are around 30 clubs for almost everything you can think of. From programming to food and from hacking to singing and dancing, you can find a club for it here. There are clubs for entrepreneurship and the stock market and all. There is a Sports Council and a Cultural Council too.
