Remarks :
I appeared for the WBJEE examination by filling out the form available on the WBJEE website after passing the class 12 boards. Then I was allotted IT of NSEC in 2nd round of WBJEE counseling. The WBJEE Counselling process took me a little while to understand.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since childhood I loved programming and it was only natural for me to pursue this course. The faculty: student ratio is pretty good. The teachers are friendly and really qualified. The college is affiliated with MAKAUT and the semester exams are of moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities :
I don't have much idea about internships that the college provides as I study in my first year. But people do get internships in 2nd and 3rd year from what I have heard from other seniors of the college.
Placement Experience :
I'm in the first year so I don't know everything about the campusing process yet. But from what I've heard, students become eligible for placements from 3rd year. The placement record of the college is very good. Companies like Wipro, cognizant, and TCS visit the college. Almost all the students get placed in the non-core branches.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The cost of the course was 5.55 lacs. The course fee increased over the past few years due to good placements. I got no Scholarship on campus with a stipend. However, I took an educational loan to pursue engineering.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest Mesmerizer took place last year in December. The library is very good. It is huge in size and has almost all the books that we need in our curriculum. Also, there is a reading room where one can read books peacefully. The college playground is outside of the college campus but not that far away. The college has a boys' common room where indoor games like table tennis, carrom, and chess can be played. There is also a badminton court. There is no shortage of clubs in the college. Starting from the photography club to the tech club, and cultural clubs the college has it all.
