The Inside of the Asia's number one commerce college

Remarks :

Firstly we had to register with the DU portal and enter our preferences, our marks, our proofs of adress, caste, existence etc. they ask for your Adhar Card, Caste certificate, TC, merit certificates, 10-12 Marksheet, Photos, Electricity bill/pan bill etc., All self attested. Then we had to pay the minimal registration fee of about 200-300 rupees. With each subsequent cutoff, i got better college. I started with South campus, then KMC, then Hindu, and finally after the 4 cutoff, I got into SRCC. For BA Honors in Economics, to get into SRCC for Scheduled Caste Candidates, the fourth cut off was 96.5% and which was exactly equivalent to my cut off. Then I had to go to the portal again, withdraw my application from Hindu, and then enroll in again for SRCC. Hopefully my documents were verified easily within a day and then I had to pay the sum of 21000 for 1st semester fee and I was mailed with a confirmation message. One week later I was sent a mail from the library for further confirmation.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course for my interest in economics and finance. With this course, one could learn about the mathematical, theoretical and practical spheres of economics. The faculty of the college is quite friendly, knowledgeable and open. Almost every classroom has the adequate amount of attention it needs to have from the professor. Apart from that, SRCC provides you with tutorial classes as well, where students can one on one clear their doubts with the professor. More and better use of technology can be used, but overall it's a proper good learning experience. All the professors are PhD or pursuing a PhD. We have internals and one sends sem external examinations.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee according to the amenities is quite reasonable. We pay about 25,000 for one semester as UR, SC and ST. Whereas the fee for EWS and PWD is quite cheap and reasonable. I got an Internship from the placement cell of our college in OUTLOOK, the famous publishing brand

Campus Life :

SRCC provides you with a big social life, where in you interact with people, so society works and learns a lot from the environment. Fest seasons are the most famous times in SRCC. Every society conducts its fest in the month of April. Then there is the Business Conclave, conducted in the month of April. Finally, the annual cultural fest is CROSSROADS which has a budget of 2-3 crores every year. The library has 2 floors with 2 sections in it. It has almost all the books related to commerce and mathematics. The classrooms are the best part of SRCC, they have proper lighting, good furniture, ACs and proper ventilation. Else Every class has a projector and blackboards, with coloured chalk. There's a sole dedicated sports complex with the most luxurious features, like the sauna batha, swimming pool, gym, indoor basketball - badminton court, a big ground etc. Drawback- after COVID, Sauna baths and swimming pools haven't opened. There are over 55+ societies for students and they can apply to any.

Hostel Facilities :

I live in Noida, so I do up-down always. Although my friends live in hostel, it has minimal fee, good food, hygiene is maintained, there is time restriction of 8pm. But there are very less number of rooms available in the campus, so that's a shortcoming

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I was from PCM (science) background in 12th board and I literally wanted to shift in the course of the art. And science students always look for what best subject in art which is ECONOMICS and we choose this. And the second reason is Economics is something challenging and It provides you to think bigger and know about the money and market. So these are the reason I selected this course. My class has 40 students and except for the Micro teacher, No one teaches very well. We are the first batch of CUET and we just got approx. 3 months to prepare for the semester with an increase in the subject. So that is always hard when you are getting experimented with new things.

Placement Experience:

Students from 2nd year or 5th semester are eligible for pre-placement offers. However, 1st-year students are eligible for internship opportunities only. Around 40 companies visited campus with their placement offers for Bcom. Hons, Bcom, B.A Hons Economics, & some BSc courses. Companies included some Big4 companies like KPMG, Deloitte, E&Y, Wipro, HCL & many more. My plan after getting the degree is to go for MBA or MA in Economics.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 6th sem to sit for placements. Companies offering 6 lac to 37 lac visit the campus every year. I was placed in a multinational company with a very good package. People from stats maths and eco courses have higher chances of placement though.

Placement Experience:

From the first year onwards we are eligible for internship opportunities by internship cell. During our 6th sem, we are eligible for job interviews. The placement cell is working hard to review their work in a well-mannered form but still, they lag in bringing big companies to college for on-campus placement drives. Companies like byjus, Genpact, etc. came for placements and they offer full-time jobs for 4-6 lacs package varying from the post they offer. The highest package could go up to 7-8 lacs and on average it's 2 lacs. They offered a various range of profiles to get into. The percentage should be more than 65% at least to get the final placement done smoothly. Plans for graduation are going for higher students in this subject only who want to have a PhD degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All faculty members were helpful throughout the course and encouraged me to excel in other domains as well. But some teachers just didn't care about the students and were attending classes just for the sake of it. My college was a girl college and there were some male and more female faculty members. Exams were conducted according to the academic calendar released by the college before the start of the semester.
