Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internships from 3rd semester onwards. However, the campus placement is given in the last semester. The deserving students get placements. I am planning to pursue Ph.D. after this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love geography since my school days. I am a topper in geography subject in my school days. And in arts, only geography is the subject which has other career options rather than the teaching profession. In this university, the faculty is extremely good. And they are very supportive towards students. They try to help the student as possible as they can. There are no off classes. All the professors take classes timely.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite average as compared to MBA students. From 2nd-semester students become eligible to sit for the placements. Companies like CRISIL, KPMG, EY, NielsenIQ, Accenture, and American express visited our campus for the placements. The highest package offered was Rs.21 lakhs and the average is 10 lakhs. Only 25-30 students were placed out of the batch of 70 students. My plan after getting the degree would be to get a corporate job with the profile of an analyst.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was a geography student and learned about area studies I was keen on learning about areas and strategic Area studies. There are 6 faculty members from different disciplines of geography history sociology international relations anthropology. The total no of students capacity is 27 but till now there are 15 students studying this discipline. The teachers are very good from different disciplines and there is a lot of friendly relationship between students and teachers. The subject is of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary characteristics. It is really helpful in cracking civil services and conducting research as well

Course Curriculum Overview:

After completing my BA I thought MA would be more valuable for my career as I want to be a professor. So that's why I have chosen this course. We have a total of 5 faculties in our department and near about 60+ students in our batch. So the student-faculty ratio is around one professor per 12 students. All of our faculties are very good. They are qualified and have been teaching for years. Our HOD is very good & friendly to all the students. She always has a smile on her face. Our faculties always elaborately teach every topic. They organize some seminars too. We had to give one semester every 6 months. Exams are easy to pass if anyone studies regularly. But we have a lot of papers and practical projects to complete. Sometimes it becomes hectic & boring.
