Remarks :
The admission is through JEE Mains exam. Those who secure below 3000 ranks in the open category will be eligible for the course. Though this may vary from year to year. The admission process takes place through the JOSSA portal where we need to pay 35000 as a partial admission fee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Because of my interest in computers and IT,I have chosen this B.Tech course in computer science and engineering. There is a good student-to-faculty ratio. Faculty are highly educated with degrees in Ph.D., etc. The teaching process is very interactive. We have 4 exams in a semester. The order is as follows: Minor, Mid term, Minor, End term Minor is of 10 Marks Mid is 30 marks. The end is 50 marks. Minors and mid are of medium level and can be written easily whereas the end is a little bit tough.
Placement Experience :
Many companies (from startups to multinationals) visit the institute for placements. Students will be eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies visited are Microsoft, Uber, De Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Oracle, etc. Around 80-90% of students get placed. The highest package is around 60 lakhs and the average is around 15-20 lakhs per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is a fee hike policy for SC, ST, and incomes less than 8 lakh people. Institute also provides merit scholarships with a complete fee waiver for the top 10 students in every branch every year. The institute also suggests other scholarships like NSP, and Siemens for applying. There are a lot more internship opportunities on campus. Prestigious companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, and De Shaw take part in this internship drive.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is really awesome. We have 2 annual fests, namely Spring Spree(in April), which is a cultural fest, and Techno Zion(in November), a technical fest. These are considered to be South India's biggest fests and we see people come from various parts of the country and perform here. Classrooms have whiteboards and projectors which help in digital learning.
