Likes
- The course curriculum is very good; all the aspects required for the field can be found in the curriculum. However, there is just one problem: Maths-3, which includes Probability and Statistics, is not included. This is important for metallurgy students taking the gate examination.
- The student who achieves the best ranks receives a scholarship throughout college. Nowadays, colleges are collaborating with some companies to provide internships and training.
- The college placement program is excellent and is designed in an effective manner.
- If any students do not have money to pay for college fees, then the college provides scholarships to that type of students so that money cannot be a problem in studying and they can receive a good quality education from the college.
- The gender ratio is good. The college has its own SAC center with an equipped sports center and auditorium.
- The hostel facility is very good. The rooms have to be shared by 3 students. There are around 7 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel.
- The college placement record of NIT Patna is very good, and it is ranked 72 based on NIRF Ranking for its performance in Engineering colleges.
Dislike
- They need to remove unnecessary courses from the curriculum and make it more industry-oriented.
- Since it is a government institute, the government provides fee waivers to financially disadvantaged students.
- Nit Patna is one among the NITs, located in the city region. Therefore, due to a shortage of space and occupancy, the campus size is too small, similar to any 10+2 college.
- As always, the worst part of every hostel is the hostel mess and maintenance.
- Student life in NIT is probably the worst that can be experienced on college campuses throughout the country.

Placement Experience:
From the sixth semester, students are eligible for internship and students can sit for the campus in their fourth year. For internship and placement, many companies visited our campus like amazon, google, reliance jio, Mercedes, CRED, BPCL, godrej, federal bank, Infosys, texas instrument, oracle, Samsung, Hyundai, tcs and many startups. For the session 2019-23,636 were registered for placement and all were placed and they have offered 717 jobs. The highest package is 52 LPA and the average is 14.14 LPA this year. percentage placement is 100%. My plan after getting my degree is to sit in campus placement.
Remarks:
Admission process is based on JEE MAINS rank and college is allotted through jossa counselling. You have to give jee mains exam which is held by NTA every year in two sessions first session in January and the second session in April. You can apply application form on the official site of jee mains and the application fees are Rs. 1000 for Male candidates of unreserved/Gen-EWS/OBC category, Rs.800 for female candidates of Unreserved/Gen-EWS/OBC category Rs.500 for SC/ST/Transgender category candidates. I am from the SC category so my cutoff was lower than the general category. My cut-off rank was sc category rank 2392. NIT PATNA has 50% home state reservation and I am from Bihar so I got state reservation benefits. All the admission process is online so there are no such problems to visit the college for admission frequently.
Placement Experience:
Placements in NIT Patna has grown significantly in the last 4 years. Highest on campus placement for 2023 was 52 lpa. Average package is around 12 lpa. Nearly 80% of the students were placed in 2023. Placements are done in the final year. Some student go for jobs while some opt for higher studies like M Tech and MBA.
Remarks:
The admission process is very simple. You have to qualify JEE Main exam. The cut-off for admission to NIT Patna is around AIR 45000 for Open candidates. The JEE Main exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The fee of application for male candidates is Rs 1000, and for female candidates, it is Rs 800. The application dates are announced by NTA every year. Reservation Benefits are available for OBC-NCL, EWS, SC-ST, Females, and PwD candidates. Home state quota is also applicable for students belonging from Bihar. The process of admission is very smooth, but it would be great if physical reporting was also available online.
Placement Experience:
Campus placement starts in 6 semesters. The highest package is 45 lakh and the average package is 21 lakh. CSE has a 100 percent placement percentage. 90 percent is the placement percentage It varies department-wise. Many want to go for gate or ESE.
Remarks:
Admission takes place through Josaa Councelling which requires Jee mains rank. After josaa counseling, 2 rounds of Csab round occurs which finalizes the admission process. The college has Other state and home state reservations and each of the above categories has EWS, SC/ST, and OBC reservation I think the admission process is smooth.

From the 6th semester itself, students are available for campus placements many companies arrive on the campus and we have a 90% placement percentage every department has its separate percentage highest package offered till now is 45 lakhs and the average packages 21 lakhs percentage of students getting a place is 90% manage students want to do get exam after B.Tech degree.

The placement percentage was approximately 130% in the CSE department, 100% in the ECE department, 95% in the Electrical department, 92% in the Mechanical department, and 70% in the civil department. The highest package in the ECE department was 1.8 cr per annum last year. The highest package of this year in the CSE department is 73 LPA

The admission process is so smooth. The admission is completely based on JEE mains rank. There are reservations for OBC, SC, ST, PWD, and Female only quotas. JEE mains usually happen in January and April. After cleaning the exam you have to go through the JOSAA counseling process. In this counseling process if you are allotted to this college then after that admission form applications are taken online from College website and after that, you have to come for document verification in the institution.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The academics of this college is very well, the teachers are very helpful and also This is one of the oldest colleges in the engineering field And our chief minister Nitish Kumar also graduated from here and this college is like our heritage and being from the same city I preferred this college and also the location of this college is awesome like the view of Ganga ghat behind our college just increase the beauty of this college Also the placement of every branch in this college is good as compared to many colleges that's why I choose this college.

Welcome to nit Patna. For admission to any National institute of technology, you must appear in exams like jee mains. After scoring a good percentile in jee mains according to your rank and your choice filling you will be selected for that college. After successfully ending counseling and locking your choice you will be called for physical verification in a respected college. The process is so good for verification I am from nit Patna so I am telling about that it was systematically and in a good way. Just show your documents and after verifying your all documents. You will get your id card the next day with roll no. And get an email with enrollment no., student id (email), roll no., and even you will get your wifi id password. And then after if u eligible for the hostel u will be allotted the same day.

For admission, one needs to crack JEE Mains with 96.5%ile and above in the general pool for both the home state and another state. Here NIT provides courses, in Computer Science, Electronics and communication, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. Also for B.Arch and Integrated MCA, .50% of the seat is for the home state and 15% for the girl's category. First, you have appeared in JEE mains so that you will get admission to NIT Patna.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The reason for choosing this course was my passion towards this field and also the ever-growing demand for this field. The faculty-student ratio is quite high. The faculty is quite qualified with a lot of them having lots of years in their experience bank and the teaching method, however, is quite an old school. Sem exams are quite timely also considering how far already this batch is lagging due to the delay in course commencement.
Remarks:
Eligibility of the course is clearing JEE Mains and meeting the cutoff ranks of the mentioned university. Application form, and fee structure is made available on the NIT PATNA official new website. The reservation benefits can be availed such as OBC and DASA Quota and more. The admission process was quite smooth.
