What students say about National Institute of Technology - [NIT]

Likes

  • The campus is situated in Kashmir which is heaven on earth means the campus location is very beautiful.
  • Campus Life is awesome, you'll have a plenty of time to explore the campus Life
  • Faculties are very experienced and have depth knowledge of their subjects.
  • The teacher in this college are very intelligent and there will educated.
  • The campus is situated at the banks of dal lake so it is very beautiful.
  • Beauty of nit srinagar: nit srinagar is having very beautiful campus.
  • Being at shores of Dal lake gives it a very beautiful touch.

Dislike

  • The curriculum, as in all NITs, is archaic and not up to date with the new developments in respective fields.
  • This is a bad thing about this college, so I cannot provide any other details about it.
  • Sorry, I have not applied for any system. By default, the system has facilities for dividing income into slots. Parents with an annual income less than 1 lakh rupees are not charged any tuition or accommodation fees.
  • In college, the gender ratio is very low because of the bad climate of the college, such as terrorism problems. Hostel parties are not allowed due to politics, and the economic status is very high due to central funding.
  • Not good and sometimes inedible, and even the hostel facilities are not good either.
  • I have one negative remark for my college: the extracurricular activities should be taken more seriously, as there is no indoor sports complex and no auditorium for different events at our college.

Placement Experience:

The college had good placements for the last three years. Received an average package of 13LPA for the CS and IT branches with 100% placements. And, 8LPA for all branches with approx. 85% placements. If any student didn't get placed then he/she can go for Ph.D. at IIT Delhi as the college has signed MoU with IIT Delhi.

Remarks:

You need to qualify JEE Mains exam for this college. JEE Mains application fees: 600rs-700rs Reservations you can avail Home state quota ( only eligible in the state from where you have completed your 12th). General EWS, OBC, and SC/ST are caste-based reservations. Girls quota reservation ( only for girls).

Placement Experience:

The average in the electrical department is 7.5LPA and placements in the IT sector are increasing rapidly with an average package of 10LPA and the highest of last year 42LPA at Microsoft. The training and placement department is highly active to increase placements.

Remarks:

Qualify JEE mains. Participate in JOSAA/ CSAB counseling. Branch will be allowed to your rank. Once you finalize the college and branch then physical reporting and document verification will be done in the Institute you have opted for. These steps are very easy then further you can continue to enjoy college life.
