Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time M.Sc Program should have passed three years B.Sc. Degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto with Physics as major / optional / special subject are eligible for the programme provided they have studied Mathematics as major/optional/special/minor/subsidiary subject for at least two years and secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category–I candidates) marks in Physics and Mathematics.

Admission Guidelines

You will be selected on the basis of an Entrance Examination for the following courses:

  • Master of Journalism and Mass Communication 
  • Master of Social Work (M.S.W.)
  • M.Sc. in Computer Science, and Yogic Science
  • M.B.A.
  • M.B.A. (Tourism and Travel Management)
  • Master of International Business (M.I.B.)
  • Master of Human Resource Development (M.H.R.D.).
  • Master of Physical Education

For other courses: You will be selected on the basis of the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

All the Entrance Tests will be conducted in the respective Departments.

The Entrance Examination and the selection of the candidates for M.C.A./M.B.A. Degree programme will be made by the Karnataka Examination Authority.

Your merit in Post Graduate Common Entrance Test–2020 for MBA and MCA Courses, will be determined on the basis of marks obtained by you in the Entrance Test. In the case of equal marks, the following procedure shall be adopted to serve as a tie-breaker:

  1. First preference will be given to those who obtain higher marks in the Qualifying examination
  2. Next, the preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age.

The MBA/MCA PGCET 2020 exam structure:

Duration: 150 minutes
Type of Questions: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)

1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking.
