PGCET MBA Counselling To be Announced

Mangalore University offers MBA programmes to its students in 3 specializations that include MBA and MBA in Tourism and Travel Management (TTM) and MBA in International Business (IB). The University has more than 204 affiliated colleges along with two constituent colleges where the students are offered courses.

Admissions to Mangalore University MBA programmes are done on the base of the score in PGCET MBA exam. In case of MBA (TTM), the score of the PGCET and qualifying examination is taken in 1:1 ratio. The program itself is divided into 4 semesters spread across 2 years.

The minimum qualification to apply for MBA degrees at the university is a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% score.

Mangalore University MBA Admission Guidelines

Admissions to MBA programmes at the university are to be made on the basis of the score in the PGCET MBA exam. For MBA TTM and MBA IB, the score of the qualifying exam is also considered along with the score in PGCET exam. The merit lists of candidates for these programmes are based on the combined score taken in 1:1 ratio.

  • Applicants can apply for these courses in Mangalore University by applying for the relevant institute during the time of counselling.
  • The counselling for PGCET MBA is done by Karnataka Exam Authority.
  • To apply for the PGCET, follow the given steps.
    • Visit the official website of the exam authority
    • After that register yourself on the website
    • Enter using your credentials and then start filling the application form
    • Enter your details and upload all the necessary documents in the applicable format
    • After your double-check your details, submit your application
    • Proceed towards payment of fees
    • After you are done, take a print out of the application form for future correspondence
  • After that, the result of the PGCET will be announced and the candidate can take part in the counselling
  • During the counselling, the applicant can choose the required institutes, during which he can select Mangalore University
  • For admission to MBA TTM and MBA IB, the marks of the qualifying exam will also be considered in 1:1 ratio along with the PGCET

Mangalore University MBA Course Details

Mangalore University provides MBA in 3 specializations, each of which lasts 2 years. The course work itself is divided into Hard Core Courses and Soft Core Courses. A total of 87 credits for MBA TTM and 92 for MBA would be available.

Students would also be required to submit a project during their fourth semester which would be worth 4 credits. The workload for the teacher for the same would be 1 hour per student per week.

During the duration of the course, the student would be able to select any 2 softcore and 4 softcore courses in the first 3 semesters. For the fourth semester, the student is required to select any 3 soft and hard courses from the options.
