Mangalore University admissions are done based on merit as well as an entrance examination Ph.D course, depending upon the choice of programmes. The application process is offline and candidates need to submit the form to the university address along with some documents within the stipulated time.

• Mangalore University, Mangaluru, Karnataka welcomes application for admission in Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
• The program under 25 specializations. Admission will be provided based on the entrance examination and interview conducted by the University. U.G.C/ CSIR(JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship holder/M.Phil degree holder will be absolved from the entrance examination.
• Prescribed application form alongside the notice might be acquired from the Registrar of Mangalore University or can be downloaded from the official site of the college (https://mangaloreuniversity.ac.in).
• The application fee of INR 1000/ - (INR 500/ - for SC/ST Category) ought to be paid through Challan or D.D of any Nationalized Banks.

Mangalore University, Mangaluru Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree or a professional degree in relevant/ allied/ concerned subjects declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory authority.
• At least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale secured in the qualifying examination.
• A concession of 5% of marks, will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/Differently-Abled.
• Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil course work with at least 55% marks (50%marks for SC/ST) in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale. 
• Appearing candidates can also apply for admission in PhD.

1. Visit the official website of the university(https://mangaloreuniversity.ac.in).
2. Tap “PhD application”.
3. Download the PhD application form.
4. Take a print out of it.
5. Fill the required personal and academic details in the application form.
6. Paste a passport-sized photograph.
7. Draw a Demand Draft of INR 1100/- (INR 500/- for SC/ST) in favour of Finance Officer, Mangalore University.
8. Send 2 sets of the filled application form and D.D along with the supporting documents to-Chairman of the concerned P.G. Department/ Head of the Recognized Research Centre/ Principals of the Colleges having an affiliation for PhD. Programme.
