Latest Update: Re-opening of NIIT University

As per the guidelines set down by UGC, NIIT university will be opening soon. The campus ensures to provide proper sanitization at every corner while keeping social distancing in mind. Following are the safety and security manners to be obeyed by students, faculty and staff:
- Individual’s Responsibility: It includes wearing masks, washing hands frequently with soap and maintaining social distancing must be practiced at each juncture.
- Arrival in Smaller Groups: To exercise adequate control and ensure comprehensive briefing of students, it would be advisable to let students return in a staggered manner, preferably 50% of each batch in one lot. It would be advisable for students coming from their states to self-quarantine for 14 days in their individual rooms.
- Provision of Sanitation Stations in Buildings: It should be ensured that ample and easily accessible hands-free sanitization stations are placed at the entrance of every building and all corridors for maximum utilization by all.
- COVID-19 Testing Protocol and Health Check: To prevent the entry of an infected person to the Campus, a Pre-Arrival Test by each returning student, faculty and staff should be the start point of the Testing Protocol. It is recommended to test students after 7-8 days of joining the campus and repeat the same two weeks after the first test. This will cover both self-quarantine and post quarantine periods. A daily health checkup may consist of a temperature check, SPO2 level check and monitoring of other ILI symptoms.
- Lecture Halls: The University could limit occupancy in lecture halls to allow adherence to physical distancing norms.
- Nutritious Food for Students: The dining halls will be sanitized regularly. In the quarantine period, it will be managed through the delivery of all meals only in their respective rooms. Other approaches include staggering the timing batch-wise to avoid crowding, spaced seating and proper hygiene, sanitization, daily health check and appropriate kitting of the mess staff.
- Students Safety Squads: Students will be housed in single room occupancy and provided with detailed procedures for disinfection and cleaning of rooms, washrooms and common areas.

NIIT University Admission

NU Admissions Interaction Process (AIP) is now being conducted online. This process involves communicating with the applicant and their parents about the University's programs and positioning, as well as helping NU understand the applicants’ aspirations better. Owing to COVID, this interaction procedure has been made entirely online, allowing students and their parents to secure admission from the safety and security of their own homes.

  • Step 1: Download the Admission application form either from the website or obtain it from any of the designated Admissions Offices of NU. The Application Fee can be paid online or by cheque/ demand draft in favor of NIIT University, payable at Gurugram.
  • Step 2: Submit the duly completed Admission application form online or via post along with all the required documents.
  • Step 3: Schedule the NU-AIP online by selecting the NU-AIP location closest to you and the time slot most convenient for you. In case you need assistance to schedule the NU-AIP, the relevant Admissions office can be contacted.

Note: In case of Applicants who have valid JEE Main/ BITSAT/ SAT/ NEET/ Any State Engineering Entrance Examination Rank/Score, the better of the two scores (second being NUAT) will be considered. For Management applicants, NUAT scores will be considered.

  • Step 4: On receipt of The Offer for Admission, Selected candidates should submit the Acceptance Letter duly signed by them and their parent/guardian within 5 working days of receiving the Admission Offer letter along with a non-refundable acceptance fee of INR 15,000
  • Step 5: A Final Admission Offer is made via email to the offer accepted students after intimation of the Class XII results within 5 days of receipt by NU Admissions.

NIIT University Scholarships

To encourage and support meritorious Applicants, NU has a very distinctive scholarship Programme called the ‘NU Scholar Search Programme’. Under this Programme, an Applicant may qualify for a scholarship up to a full waiver on the University Tuition Fee. Merit Scholarship is awarded on the basis of:

NIIT Scholarship 2023

NIIT recently announced various scholarships for the meritorious students who want to persue their degrees from the university. In order to motivate students to excel in their academics, NIIT has announced scholarships for upto INR 2 lakhs for the academic year 2023-24.

These scholarships are available for BBA, MBA, and BTech programmes in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering), ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering), DS (Data Science), CyS (Cyber Security), BT (Biotechnology) and Integrated MSc (Computer Science). The selection criteria for the scholarships will be based on a student’s performance in class XII and national-level examinations. In addition to this, the university has announced special scholarships for the exceptional students who will be awarded full- fee waivers on the above mentioned courses. The annual scholarship will range between Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,00,000, which will be offered on the tuition fee only, and candidates will be chosen on the basis of their merit

Another Scholarship scheme named ‘CoX’ is for students who perform exceptionally well in various extra- curricular activities like dance, theatre, sports, fine arts etc.

NIIT University Facilities

NIIT University ensures students are the recipients of world-class education and a very memorable campus life by offering several provisions and facilities to them on campus. Some of these are as follows: 

  • Labs: The state-of-the-art labs and classrooms allow for an enriching educational experience
  • Central Library: The students can visit the library which is well stocked with a good collection of text and reference books, e-journals, and journals to provide students with information and knowledge. The library features a nice hall room that is well ventilated. 
  • Hostel: Accommodation is provided to male and female students with all necessary facilities such as water supply, mess, a recreation room; 24/7 ambulance availability, sports facility, fitness center, and medical assistance to assuring the comfort of students. All rooms are furnished with the required furniture and with Geothermal Coupling Cooling. The coffee/tea/soup vending machines are provided in hostels.

The NIIT University houses a highly accomplished and qualified faculty of 61 members, out of which 42 hold Ph.Ds in their respective disciplines.
