Master of Architecture [M.Arch.] (Energy Efficient And Sustainable Architecture) From NIT Trichy, Tiruchirappalli

NIT Trichy MArch admissions 2023 are going to start soon. Admission to this program will be based on the GATE scores. The GATE 2023 exam will be held from February 4 to February 12, 2023. The admit card can be downloaded via the official site- @gate.iitk.ac.in from January 3, 2023 onwards.

NIT Trichy M.Arch Eligibility

• The candidate must have a B.Arch degree.
• The candidate must have passed the graduation with a minimum of 60% marks.

NIT Trichy M.Arch Selection Criteria

• The initial selection is made on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in GATE.
• After having a valid score of GATE, a candidate has to go through the CCMT counseling process.

How to Apply for GATE? 

Those who are eligible for admission have to take the GATE. The registration process for it is given below:

• Visit the official website
• Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email ID, and mobile number.
• After the form is submitted, an enrollment ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number.
• Fill out the application form.
• A fee of 1,500 INR (750 INR for women and reserved categories) will be charged. It is to be paid online.
• Download the form and keep a printout for future reference.

CCMT Counselling:

Candidates who take the GATE will have to go for CCMT counseling. To apply, follow the given steps:

• Register at the official website.
• Fill out the application form.
• Pay the registration fee of 2,200 INR (1,700 INR for reserved categories).
• Click on “I agree”.
• Start entering your choices. When it is done, lock the choices.
• Submit the application and keep a printout

NIT Trichy M.Arch Course Details

• The course work of the M.Arch Program at NIT Trichy is structured into 4 semesters over 2 years. 
• The constituent's course work of the M.Arch programs includes core courses, program electives, dissertation, comprehensive assessments, and viva voce, etc.
• In the 1st and 2nd semesters of the M.Arch program, a candidate has to study the course work, while in the 3rd and 4th semesters of the program, a candidate is required to submit his/her dissertations.
• The 1st and 2nd semester of the M.Arch program consists of 18 credits each in total, while the 3rd and 4th semester, the program consists of 12 credits in total for each semester.
• The marking scheme of each semester is typically based on the performance of a candidate in the teacher's assessment, Midterm examinations, and End term examinations.
