Lucknow University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 10+2 (PCM) with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognized board
Candidates desirous of taking admission in any of the disciplines of B.Tech must qualify the JEE Main examination.
Students can get admission into B.Tech (Lateral Entry) after completing their 3-year diploma course in the respective discipline along with a valid JEE Main score followed by counseling. The university offers B.Tech (Lateral Entry) in the same discipline as available in the regular courses of study.

Lucknow University B.Tech Course details

B.Tech specializations offered by the University include: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering

B.Tech program consists of 8 semesters each of six (6) months followed by examinations written and practical, conducted at the culmination of each semester. Written examinations are conducted on subjects taught in each semester and consist of both short questions and descriptive ones. Practical examinations are conducted in laboratories as well as computer labs.

Students must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each subject to clear individual semester examinations. Both written and practical examinations are of three (3) hours duration. Final semesters are mostly project-based and based on the projects designed marks are awarded. Students must pay examination fees each semester before appearing for semester examination.

I choose mechanical engineering because I want to learn more about machines and physical experiments which we use daily in our life. The faculty is too good, supportive, and knowledgeable. I choose the course because the demand for Computer Science Engineers is high these days, and placement for the course is at its peak. It is a trending course where you learn a lot about technical stuff. There are 2 sections for each branch each containing 60+ students, teachers are good and highly educated most teachers are Ph.D. in their areas of specialty. The teachers are good and they teach and explain the concepts well. Our college is very particular about conducting regular exams there are 2 quizzes, each subject has 3 quizzes and there is a quiz cycle, at the end, there is mid sem and then an external exam. performing well in every test is of utmost importance.

Srmcem is good college for good studies.

I chose this course because I'm interested in it. The faculty are very brilliant and supportive. Their method of teaching is very effective and students give quick responses. All the teachers are ph.d.holder and have many years of experience. Exams are semester wise but sessional exams named quizzes are per month. And they are a little difficult. Students need to prepare well for quizzes.
