Course Details

Lucknow University M.Ed Admission 2024 will begin soon. Admissions will be based on Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) followed by counselling, conducted by the university. Lucknow University M.Ed Key Highlights

  • MEd students are not allowed to do any other courses or jobs with this program.
  • 75% of attendance is mandatory for fulfillment of the course
  • Admissions to MEd at Lucknow University is provided on the basis of entrance exam scores, past academic record and interview
  • MEd students are entitled to go for an excursion trip outside UP for 10 days and will be counted for examination results.
  • Reservation facilities are provided only to Uttar Pradesh domiciles. Other states' candidates will be considered General.

Lucknow University M.Ed Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Candidates having B.Ed., B.A.-B.Ed., B.Sc.-B.Ed., B.El.-B.Ed., & D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate Degree or a recognized BTC or LT diploma or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate from a University established by law and recognized by the University Grants Commission.
  • Only those candidates whose B.Ed. examination results have been declared before the last date of the online application process of the University of Lucknow will be eligible for admission to the M.Ed. program.
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in the correct year can apply for admission but they should fulfill all eligibility conditions on the day of admission.

The University of Lucknow will be adopting an Off-Campus Online Counseling for the M.Ed. programs. Candidates have to register and submit choices after the result has been declared.

The selection process of candidates for M.Ed admissions will be based on three things i.e. Written test, Academic Index weightage, and interview.

Written test

Duration of test is 3 hours and would comprise:

  • Mental Ability comprises 100 objective type questions of 1 mark each. For this, a separate OMR sheet will be provided.
  • Subject Competence test comprises 80 objective type questions of 1 mark each. A separate OMR sheet will be provided. Questions will be based on the B.Ed syllabus of university. This section comprises of 10 short answer questions of 2 marks each.
  • Language Comprehension (Hindi & English) checks the language understanding of the candidate. Candidate needs to attempt both the languages. The section is of 50 marks in total.

    Duration of 2 hours will be given for mental ability and Subject competence test (Multiple choices) and the rest 1 hour will be for Subject competence test (Short Answer) and language comprehension.

Academic Index Weightage 

The weightage of the academic result will be 50 marks.

Interview

The interview will take place to assess the subject knowledge, teaching ability, and personality of a candidate. This section will be of maximum 10 marks.

Final merit

The final merit list will be out on the basis of marks in written test (250 marks), academic index weightage (50 marks) and Interview (10 marks). This will be out of 310 marks in total.

Lucknow University M.Ed: How to Apply? 

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before registering for the course to avoid rejection of candidature. The steps of the application procedure are as follows:

Step 1: Registration - Applicants need to fill all the relevant details in the form. They will receive login details on the registered mobile number and email id.

Step 2: Personal & Educational Details - Applicants need to fill all the relevant personal and educational information correctly and carefully.

Step 3: Upload photo and signature - Scanned photograph and signature in jpeg format need to be uploaded.

Step 4: Preview - At this point, you can view your application form and make any changes if required. If once submitted you will not be able to make any changes.

Step 5: Application Fee - Once you have checked the information after that you can proceed towards the payment of application fee.

Step 6: Print Application Form - Candidates can take a print out of application form and fee receipt for future reference.

Required Documents 

The candidate needs to attach scanned copies of all the relevant documents.

The documents are as follows:

  • Marksheets of 10th,12th, graduation i.e. B.Ed and postgraduation.
  • Aadhar card.
  • Photo ID proof such as driving license, passport, voter Id or aadhar card.
  • Scanned photograph and signatures which should be in JPEG format and not more than 50 KB.
  • Caste Certificate (if required)
  • Income Certificate will be required at the time of form filling.

The application fee needs to be paid for the application process to be considered complete. The application fee is as follows:
