Monash University Funding in Scholarships, Fellowships & Bursaries

For the academic session 2020-2021, Monash University is offering 245 undergraduate and postgraduate entrance scholarships, of which, international students are eligible for 100+ scholarship programs. All these scholarships are designed to offer international students substantial financial assistance to pursue higher education in Australia.

International students applying for admission to any UG or PG program at Monash are encouraged to explore various Monash University scholarships. In addition to that, students can also apply for Australian government scholarships like AGRTP and Australian Awards.

Monash University Scholarships for Undergraduate Programs

With 50+ Monash undergraduate scholarships for international students, the university offers financial assistance to nearly 1000 incoming students every year. Recipients of these Monash University scholarships are awarded substantial amounts for the payment of their Monash undergraduate program tuition fees.

Majority of bachelor scholarships at Monash University are awarded for the duration of the programs. Therefore, it is significant for applicants and recipients to be familiar with every scholarship’s ongoing eligibility beforehand

None of the international Monash scholarships for bachelor programs require any separate application. Eligible students who have completed their VTAC application for admission will be automatically considered for the relevant scholarship program.

Monash University Scholarships for Postgraduate Programs

For its 155 graduate level programs, the university offers 32 masters and doctoral scholarships to international students.

Unlike undergraduate scholarships, the postgraduate Monash University scholarships are not just limited to tuition reductions. These scholarships offer a variety of benefits such as tuition fee, living allowance, stipend etc.

While the program-specific postgraduate scholarships do not require any separate application, the same can’t be said for the Maxwell King, Monash Graduate, and Graduate Research Scholarship programs. Applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria have to complete an online application process that is unique to each scholarship.

Apart from the university postgraduate scholarship, international students can also apply for Australian Government Research and Training Program scholarships and Australia Awards Scholarships. These scholarships are designed for students planning to pursue higher education in Australia.

Monash University Scholarships for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs

There are scholarships at Monash University which are offered to coursework students, whether beginning bachelor or master's program. Presently, there are three such scholarships offered by the university:

Monash International Merit Scholarship: Up to AUD 50,000
Monash International Leadership Scholarship: 100% tuition fees
Monash International Excellence Scholarship: Up to AUD 40,000

To be eligible for either of the three scholarships, applicants must have excellent academic scores in their previous degree program and have secure admission to the chosen UG or PG coursework program at Monash University.

Separate application form is required for International Merit scholarship and International Leadership scholarship. The online application form can be accessed on the official website. Overall, Monash University scholarships offer international students an opportunity to pursue their desired bachelor, masters, or doctoral degree.

Scholarship:

6.5 because I got the faculty scholarship they gave a lot of what we say documents like publications and SOP and other things like SOPs just like I have to just give a proposal for them because as I already mentioned I have faculty joint PhD. My half PhD will be in Monash Malaysia and half will be in Monash Australia. I got a faculty joint PhD scholarship so basically, they just give an advertisement and I just applied formally.

Actually here I like Monash because environment is too friendly even now we have access to our heads like dean and whereas concerned the facilities Monash give a lot of facilities even now we have you can see the COVID 19 situation they are providing the online resources like Monash library even we have remote access to our labs like because I want to work on my abacus software so they give us remote access even it is a hard time COVID 19 did not affect our research because they are giving us a lot of facilities. If I am in hurry so I have to do all the work experimental work even so they give a priority to me and I have to conduct all the experiments.

I got a student grant of around 5000 AUD for my first semester.
