- The XIMB college has 30 years of experience, and its faculty members have a wealth of experience. Some notable members include Banikanta sir, Ramana sir, and MN.
- Good companies come to the campus, some of them being Nestle, McKinsey, Bain, and Coca-Cola. Others can be seen from the website. Roles offered are also at a blacki level in some cases, such as IB, Consultant roles, ASM, etc.
- In our college, the placement committee works day in and day out to secure the best companies and profiles on campus, and since its inception XIMB has boasted a 100% placement rate.
- The fees amount to around 22 lakhs (including everything) for 2 years, not including your own expenses for 2 years, which is quite high in comparison to colleges of the same tier.
- Campus life was awesome; there were many fests, seminars, and webinars where one could gain a lot of knowledge.
- Some facilities provided in the rooms are a wooden bed (you need to bring your own mattress), two tables, and one cupboard.
- The number of seats should be restricted to ensure better placements and to have quality students.
Dislike
- Among the 8 hostels, the Studio Apartment is the newest hostel and has all the basic amenities, while the other hostels dont tick the box

Placement Experience:
All the placement-related details can be viewable on the XIM university website. There is a detailed placement report and information on students where they get placed for the last few years on the website of the university.
Remarks:
The minimum requirement for admission to the program is a three-year Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks aggregate from a recognized University. Applicants must take any of the admission tests XAT, CAT, GMAT, or X-GMT. Applicants have to fill up the online application form on the XIM university website.
Placement Experience:
Placements are excellent in this college. Return on Investment matters a lot for people; in this college, they have taken care of that factor. The ROI is quite good compared to other B-schools. In our college, faculties give two years of extension to do any startup you like, and also they provide 25lakhs; if it doesn't work, you come to campus, they will give you placements.
Remarks:
Talking about my experience, I got a decent mark in CAT, so I got a call from the XIMB BM program. First, They took my interview, and then after 15 to 20 days shortlist will come. Generally, because of covid-19, only personal interviews happened, but before Covid 19, they took selection in 3 steps like Written ability test, a Group discussion, and a Personal interview at last. First, two steps are part of the elimination round. After we get shortlisted, we have to pay 3000 to retain your seat and after your conversion to this institute, you will have to pay another 47000 to this college. I don't recall the exact dates, but the first list came around April 1st, a week, then after ten days, it moved.
Placement Experience:
The placement opportunities are great here. Both summer internships and final placement are looked after by the college itself. Esteemed recruiters from all streams visit the campus. The average CTC is 20 lacs, and it will keep on increasing year by year. The institute boasts 100% placement.
Remarks:
Eligibility: you need to have a UG degree with minimum passing marks as set by the institute. Application forms are available on the website, an application fee has to be paid. The exams are CAT, XGMT, and XAT. There's a 50% reservation for the domicile of Odisha.
Placement Experience:
The placement is quite impressive here. All the top companies visit here. All the profiles from different backgrounds are offered here, be it in the field of finance, marketing, operations, IT etc. You can refer to the college placement report for more details on placement.

There are multiple exams that open the gates for XIMB. I took XAT and XGMT (XIMB's independent admission exam). Based on the cutoff (different for different exams), candidates are shortlisted for GD and PI round. Post that final merit list is released for all the selected candidates.
Placement Experience:
After coming back from summer internships as the fourth term begins students are eligible for campus placement. The highest package this year was provided by Microsoft of 70 lakhs per annum. The trend has been 100% placements every year
Remarks:
The overall process was very smooth in fact since my admission was at a time when there were travel restrictions, for convenience the facility of the online interview was provided by the college. The process was very smooth however there could have been a GD round as well.
Placement Experience:
The placement has been very good this academic year. With over 111 PPOs out of 357 students and the whole batch being placed much before the new year kicked it although the market observing a slump shows the placement scenario. The average package offered was around 20LPA and even the SIP's performance was also good with many big brands selecting the students for an 8-10 weeks tenure.
Remarks:
The admission for BM is via XAT, CAT and XGMT. Application forms can be found on the XIMB website and to be updated with their other social media pages. Rest the process is smooth and accommodating. There is a small decrease in the cutoff for Odisha Domicile students rest your performance is the key and matters.

XIMB proudly announced its 100% placement for the batch of 21-23. This year 72 companies visited our campus for the recruitment drive.This year's highest package was 71.5lac and the average package of 20.30lac, the median salary stood at around 19.25lac for the cohort of 356 students. record breaking 111ppos were offered to the students. key roles offered: product manager, portfolio manager, consultant, area sales manager, brand manager, etc. prominent recruiters include Microsoft, Bain and company, McKinsey Company, Arcesium, Jio, and many others. Final placements drive starts when the students are in the second year.
Remarks:
A three-year Bachelor's Degree(or equivalent) from a recognized university in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate is required for admission to MBA-BM. The college application form is available on their official website. ( ximb.edu.in) The application process date is flexible; this academic year was from September 8th, 2022 to January 20, 2023, and the application fee was 1600. I took the XAT entrance exam and applied through the same channel for MBA-BM. XIMB takes the scores from CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT(XIMB-HRM program only), and X-GMT( test conducted by XIMB itself). XIMB has a domicile reservation for Odisha resident applicants only. The cutoff for the different entrance tests and the reservation and non-reservation candidates are different and the cut-offs are communicated by the administration once they declare the list.
Placement Experience:
Placements are offered to the students of XIMB. Few students are offered PPOs through their internships. Other students can sit for the placement process in the 5th term. There were 71 recruiters this year, of which 26 were new. Some prominent recruiters are: BCG, Mckinsey, Bain, ICICI, BD, Crisil, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs. The highest package is 71.51 LPA from Microsoft. The average package is 20.03 LPA, and profiles are offered in Finance, marketing, operations, consulting, and systems. The placement was 100%. My plans after getting the degree are to get a placement from college and climb the corporate ladder in the future.
Remarks:
I applied to XIMB using my CAT scores. There is a separate application for XIMB which is available on the site. The eligibility criteria for the course is that one must hold a bachelor's degree of a minimum of 3 years of duration with equivalent marks of 55%. Additionally, one must clear the CAT cutoff ( If applied through CAT) depending on domicile or non-domicile quotas. Application cost is around Rs 1600 and it opens in mid-September. The admission process is fairly simple- I got an interview invite once my eligibility criteria were met. Post my interview I got an offer letter from the college for admission. Once I accepted the offer, I was given a buddy to connect to as well as further information about joining and campus life.

This included prominent recruiters offering jobs in various roles of marketing, consulting, finance and operations domains. The highest domestic salary stood at 71.51 LPA and the average salary was 20.03 LPA.
Remarks:
One can apply to XIMB through multiple entrance tests like CAT/XAT/XGMT. The cutoff depends on several factors like prior work ex, undergrad marks etc. There are reservations available to domicile candidates. If the cutoff is cleared, it will be followed by a GD/PI. Based on the cumulative score, the final results are declared.
