Ques. Why is the SLC College cutoff higher every year?

Ans.  The cutoffs of SLC remain higher every year due to various reasons such as popularity of the courses and college, low difficulty level of board examination, ratio of number of students exceeds the availability of seats, or higher marks obtained in class 12th Which causes tougher competition etc.

Ques. Can I take admission to B.A. (H), if I qualify for the SLC cut off in the first list? 

Ans. The SLC prepares Cutoff lists on the basis of merit scores achieved by the students in class 10+2 level board examination. The candidates who score the equivalent or higher than the required cutoff marks are considered eligible for taking admission in the very first list.. 

Ques. How will I get confirmation if I qualify for the SLC cutoff for admission?

Ans. When the cutoff lists of SLC are out, they will be displayed on the official websites of Delhi University and SLC. After this, the cutoff marks which are the basis of admission to the college will be displayed on the notice board of SLC college, from time to time, in accordance with the university schedule during the admission period.

Ques. I did not opt for B.A. (H) at SLC, but I qualified for the cutoff. Can I still apply?

Ans. No, it is not possible for a student to choose another course like B.A. (H), the release of the cutoff lists of SLC. According to the rules of DU, only those applicants who have chosen the exact college and their course combination in the common application of DU UG Merit Based Admission, are eligible to apply for admission upon qualifying the cut off.
