College of Technology (COT) is located at Pantnagar, in the state of Uttarakhand. It was established in 1966 under the then Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University and now called Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology.

College of Technology, GBPUAT offers B.Tech courses in 8 streams. To be eligible, candidates should have passed 10+2 with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English as mandatory subjects.

Admissions to B.Tech program will be on the basis of merit of JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by CBSE.

COT Pantnagar offers M.Tech in 11 specializations and a MCA program under the PG department. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech to be eligible for M.Tech, whereas a graduate degree in any stream is required to be eligible for MCA.

Admission in M.Tech is given on the basis of GATE score in the relevant field. If the case of vacant seats, admission will be on the basis of OGPA/percentage of marks in B.Tech.

Admission in MCA is based on an entrance exam conducted by GB Pant University.

Click on the link of GBPUAT Application Form.
Fill up this application form with all the required information.
Upload your scanned photograph (size between 20kb-50kb), signature (10kb – 20kb) and, left hand thumb impression (10kb – 20kb).
Save your application form and take a printout.
General/OBC candidates have to pay INR 1200 as application fees whereas SC/SC/PH have to pay INR 600.
Application fees can be submitted via debit/credit card/internet banking/bank challan.
In case of Bank Challan, the candidate should deposit application fees by presenting the printed bank challan to any branch of State Bank of India.

Good Government College in Low Rank

Admission:

Admission to various courses of the College of Technology, Pantnagar is based on the AIR JEE rank. Attend UTU counseling for getting into the merit. After the result of each Round is released, if you get the preferred course according to your selection during the counseling you'll be called for document verification and your seat will get reserved. UTU conducts 2 rounds of counseling and in addition to it, there are 2 (sometimes 3) more spot rounds of the college. Cut-off varies each year, Gen Computer Engineering: 50k-70k, Gen Information Technology: 70K- 90K, Gen Mechanical Engineering: 90k- 1.3L, Cut off for the reserved classes are much higher and also there is a state quota for the students who have Uttarakhand domicile.
