Dr. Punam Mishra is currently serving as the Chairperson - BBA Programme, Institute of Management at JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. With about 16 years of work experience both in the industry as well as in academics, she has held various administrative positions like Head of the Department (Marketing) and Faculty Coordinator in her academic career. Also, she has presented research work in a number of National and International conferences organized by reputed institutes across India, and is a member of Indian Society for Training and Development.

How are the programs that you’re offering best for students to opt?

“Advance practical concepts and project based learning”

BBA is a Professional Program in Management. JKLU is offering BBA in two concentrations, namely, Entrepreneurship, and Banking and Fintech. The program is designed in such a manner that a student learns concepts and theories in real-life situations with a project driven internship that is being offered to them. Case-studies, expert sessions and modern technological influences are inhabited in the course structure.

The program is highly rigorous and focused with contextual academic theories to introduce and explain present day business scenarios. The curriculum consists of practices related to interdisciplinary aspects along with different functional areas of management.

“Industrial collaborations and training in emerging fields”

Our students are designed and delivered with focus for experiential projects and start-up studios. They are taught in collaboration with industry partners and experts so that they gain all the relevant skills. Industry ready curriculum with a focus on Banking, Finance and Insurance sector having Social Project on Microfinance, Financial Inclusion for Banking and Fintech concentration have also been introduced. How did you train your faculty to deliver this program to the students?

“Ample advances to learn and enhance skills”

We assist our faculty to attend various Faculty Development Programs organized by reputed B-Schools of India and Abroad. We train them to work in fields where they will be valued both for their specialized knowledge, and for their ability to research, communicate and solve problems. MDPs are conducted by faculty members of the University by providing relevant training to senior executives in industry, government and the non- government sectors.

What approach do you have for training the students pursuing these courses?
