Prof. T. P. Singh has been working as the Director of Rajeev Gandhi College, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He has 32 years of teaching experience. He has done MA and LLM as part of his academics. He is also a Court Member of Nehru Shilla, president nomination for work in LAW university.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector, and how has been the experience so far?

"My learning attitude and thrust to share my knowledge with others have kept me intacted"

I have worked as Principal of this college till 2016 and earlier to this, I was dean of the Law Department at Barkatullah University. We have been awarded by the Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Once a President of India also nominated me and I worked as a court member of the Nehru Shilla. I was passionate about imparting good quality education to students and helping them to create a bright future for themselves, hence I joined the educational sector. I have been part of this college from the time when there was only 1 building and now we have many campuses all over country. So the factor which keeps me connected with the education sector is my passion to educate others, and contribute directly to the growth of society and nation. 

Being the Director of RGC, how do you strategize the programs for the marketing and administration of your college?

"By considering everyone suggestions and inputs"

Our college is taken care of by the Chouhan Education Society Bhopal. And along with this college, we have one Law College which we call as Rajiv Gandhi Law College. Hence, we have two principles here. Also, we have UG and PG courses with us and our enrollment system is designed as per Government of India norms.

Why should students join your college to pursue their dream courses?

"Because we have best facilities, research and learning windows for them in our college"

When we draft and update our curriculum, the only goal of the whole process remains the same and that is to offer quality education to students. In the Commerce and Management department, we have an important and trending course of BBA, which is in high demand in government services. We have students from various parts of the country including Patna, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan etc. Hence we design our curriculum in such a way that can include amenities students may need for their overall growth and development. We have also developed amazing infrastructure in the form of modernized labs, amazing hostels, transport facility, aesthetic libraries with a very vast collection of books and lastly we offer scholarships to students who perform well in exams and belong to low economic backgrounds. 

What would you like people to know about your college?

"We offer best, trending and job oriented courses all of which are approved by top governing bodies"

We are offering a highly demanding and amazing 5-year integrated Degree course of BA. LLB Hons along with Bachelor's and Masters courses in Law discipline and currently 900 students are studying in our Law college. In other words, you can say that Law College is a proud wing of our campus. The second wing is our Rajeev Gandhi College itself where we have 3 departments including Commerce, Management and Science which mainly consist of 8 different branches such as Computer Science, Social Science, Physical Education and Paramedical. And our bright students are serving throughout the country and in overseas countries as well including Canada, US, UK and Australia. The Paramedical Department is the most flourishing and famous in our college. And the regulatory bodies governing our Law courses is the Bar council of India, while Physical Education courses are governed by NCTE (India) and Paramedical courses are governed by the Paramedical Council of Madhya Pradesh. Rest all courses are approved by the Barkatullah University, Bhopal. At present in all courses we have a minimum of 2000 students all over college here. Our college is recognized by UGC, India.

How are the placement statistics of your college?

"We are doing good and many good companies visit us every year to recruit students"

We have maintained an amazing placement record due to the hard work, dedication and true efforts of our faculty members and students. And we regularly encourage our students to participate in both on-campus as well as off-campus placement drives. And to prepare them for those recruitment drives, we do have a dedicated Training and Placement Cell in our college who not only train our students but also maintains cordial relationships with our industry partners.

Which facilities are offered by your college to students to prepare them for the real world?

"We have established Moot Courts for students and send them for industrial visits as well"

Our law students are working on many new projects currently. They recently participated in Sansadiya Vidyapeeth and Moot Parliament programs where they secured 3rd position and 3-4 students were even selected to attend parliament sessions. In addition to this, we have established Moot Courts in our college to give real time working experience to students and they regularly participate and practice in activities conducted in these courts. Also, we regularly organize visits for them in different institutions and industries to educate them how things actually work on ground level.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

"Always approach new things and places with a positive attitude"

My only advice for my dear students is always do good things in your life and positively approach any task. Also stay connected to your roots, respect your elders, and give your truest efforts to achieve your goals.
