What students say about Delhi Technological University - [DTU]

Likes

  • The course syllabus is well-updated and no, we werent provided any industrial exposure. Some of the faculty members are very good, like Reema Sehgal, etc.
  • I am a new student here, so I dont know a lot about it.
  • The placement of this college is really great. In terms of placement, this college is even equivalent to some IITs, so the placement cell of this college is great. You just need to focus on your academics.
  • The best part of college is that campus placements are excellent; you receive good packages and opportunities.
  • Well, this is my 1st year and I havent attended my annual fest yet. But DTU annual fest (ENGIFEST) is one of North Indias biggest and best college fests. The sports facilities are one of the best things at DTU.
  • Hostel facilities are very good in this college for all students, especially for girls. The hostel fees are 54,000 per year.
  • If I had the chance to choose between IIT or DTU, I would opt for it once again, as it is an awesome campus and college with placements that match the standards of IITs.

Dislike

  • Talking about the student ratio, it is also horrible because the percentage of girls in college is very, very low.
  • The internships and placement season go hand in hand, but the internship scenario for the Non-tech branch is very bad.
  • There is a very poor placement scenario for MBA, with absolutely no consideration for MBA graduates.
  • The cost of my college and course is approximately 70000. I dont have any scholarships or financial assistance. I have found a job in the engineering field, but the fees are too high. We all believe that the fees should be lower.
  • The gender ratio was very poor in my batch. There were no girls in Mechanical out of a total of 100 students.
  • There is a continuous debate between students and the mess staff that just goes to show the rotten condition of hostels.
  • The college management is very bad with too much involvement of politics, which is not a good thing to have in such prestigious institutions. There is no focus on students welfare.

Placement Experience:

In the third year, at the end of 5th semester, students are eligible for college placements. Big and reputed companies are invited to our college like sony, Samsung etc. The average package is 5 lakh and the highest package is 12 lakh.

Remarks:

The admission process was based on 12 marks, In the first round cut-off was 97% and in the second round it was 95.2% and in the spot round lowest % was 80% . The application form is given by the CMAC portal, reservations are there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BBA as it is a professional degree and there are many opportunities which are available after BBA. The faculty is very professional and helpful. They help students to perform well and motivate them. The faculty is highly qualified and disciplined. The teaching method is very unique as it includes weekly tests, quizzes, assignments and projects. The term exams are held in a gap of 1.5 months and they are moderate in difficulty. There are only 2 exams per semester i.e. mid-term and end-term.

Remarks:

The eligibility for the course is that there should be English as a compulsory subject in the 12th class. And the student must score 80% or above. There is an online website where you can find the application form. The application fee is not more than 1500

Placement Experience:

100% placement has been already done in college, and an average package of 5 to 6 Lacs was offered. It is top best technical college in India. The highest salary package goes 20 Lacs and the minimum to 3 Lacs. Whereas internships are provided to every student for top roles in marketing, finance and HR

Remarks:

I’m currently pursuing BBA from DTU and honestly, I don’t at all regret taking admitted to this college. DTU is relevantly new to the management domain and hence it's gripping its pace but the faculty members are extremely supportive and always encouraging and give you a wide array of opportunities. Within the span of 7–8 months the college saw the establishment of various management-oriented societies and most importantly it gives you a conducive environment to grow and interact with your fellow mates. DTU is the complete package as it has some or the other society to cater for every student and the campus has also witnessed a fine pool of companies visiting for campus placements with affluent packages for both internships and full-time offers There’s a wave of competition at the campus that might give you doubtful moments sometimes but would eventually compel you to push your own capacities as well and incline you towards self-expansion. With the commencement of the academic
