From the beginning of the 5th semester, students are eligible for internship opportunities, and after the 6th-semester students are eligible for placement. Companies like Tata, Wipro, reliance corporation, Goldman sac, Flipkart, Amazon, etc. visit our campus and give good packages to students. The highest and average package offered was 72.5 LPA and 14.7 LPA respectively. The overall placement of the institute was 97.2 percent. After getting my degree I will look for my placement and possible start-up if I get interested.
After jossa and csab counseling, specific dates were given for all branch. On that date, all students came. Their documents were verified physically which they had submitted in jossa counseling. Their registration was done too. That's how the admission took place.
If you are only coming here for placement purpose, then you are at one of the best places for it. Students are getting placement opportunities from 7th sem as companies starts to visit during the period. 230+ companies visited the campus last year which includes Amazon, Atlassian, Flipkart, Oracle, Microsoft, Tata, Accenture etc. The highest package stands at 73 lakhs per annum last year whereas the average package was 14.2 lakhs. The placement percentage was 97% which is amongst the top 5 NITs. Training and placement cell ensures that everyone gets a decent placement. After getting the degree, I wanna join as a software engineer in a reputate company.
The admission is completely based on the rank secured in JEE Mains examination. Anyone who has qualified for the Jee mains exam can apply through JOSSA counseling, and then the candidates are shortlisted by 6 rounds of counseling based on their ranks. They have to pay 35k as a JOSSA fee and then after a college selects the candidate they have to pay 46k as a partial admission fee. After the 6 rounds, they have to register through the NIT admission website and take out the registration receipt.
The placement is decent here. Almost companies from all sectors visit here whether it is core companies or It companies. Last year about 320+ companies visit the campus and about 850+ jobs were offered to the young minds of the college.
The student must qualify for 10+2 in science with more than 75%. She must qualify for JEE mains and the qualifying candidates have to apply for JOSAA counselling. Reservation of SC, ST, and OBC is also allowed. There is also a girls' quotas for taking admission.
the best thing about NIT Jamshedpur is its placements. placements wise our nit will come in the top 5 nits. placement seasons start here in July/August. As companies come from a variety of areas like core engineering, noncore fields like it and analytics.. mechanical and electrical are two good branches for placements in NIT Jsr. Companies like Tata, GE, and PSUs like BPCL have visited. But main placements are from IT fields as a lot of companies visit for noncore fields like Codenation, Amazon, Atlassian, Salesforce, etc. The highest package from NIT stands at 70 lacks per annum and average packages stand at around 8-9 lakhs per annum. Almost every student got placed so the placement percentage is quite good, 90%+ for top branches. I plan to work as an ML engineer and research in the field of quantum computing.
To get admission to NIT Jamshedpur, I attempted the infamous JEE Mains test and secured a rank of 20222. The application fee for JEE main in 2020 was Rs.650/- for each attempt. The application form and details of the entrance test can be found on the site of NTA jee main. I want to make the admission process more simpler and provide students with more data about the courses and their future scopes so they can choose wisely in the rounds of counseling.
I choose Electrical Engineering because it gives us exposure and I love to learn about electrical appliances like generator motors and sub which comes in this. faculty is very good and helping nature and the student ratio in my class is 1:3.
Class 12th student can appear for the JEE main exam, which is the entrance exam for all the nits. OBC,ST/SC reservation is there, there is also reservation for girls and PWD candidate. The counseling Process is handled by JOSAA.
I was quite interested in electrical engineering and this college Nit Jamshedpur is good (placement-wise) and also very near to my hometown. The faculties are quite good and they are very supportive. Almost all faculty have done Ph.D. from top IITS, some also had done from foreign universities. Semester exams are not that hard, most students start their preparation 1 week ago before exams.
JEE MAINS is the entrance exam, the registration for this exam is online and a notification comes between January to February. The admission process is quite smooth, first qualifying for the exam, after qualifying josaa counseling will happen and according to your rank college is decided.
I was very much passionate about Electrical engineering. Faculty to student ratio is very good. All the faculties have pursued P.h.d from very reputed Institute, like IITs, IIScs, All the exams are conducted according to the academic calendar.
Should crack JEE Main. After you pass JEE Main, Josaa Counselling starts. On this, you have to register, and then you have to fill in the preference of choices of college and branch. They will Conduct 7 rounds.
Placement is decent here, companies from different sectors visit here. Technical, Consultancy, Analytics, as well as core companies, visit here. Placement is close to 100% but the average package depends upon the branch.
To take admission to NIT Jamshedpur, you have to appear for JEE mains exams. During the appearing year of class 12th, you can take this exam which is conducted by NTA(National testing agency). After the declaration of results you will be eligible for counselling which is conducted by JOSAA, with the help of JEE mains result in you can take admission to NITs, and CFTIs, and you will get college according to the marks obtained. There are reservations for OBC, ST/SC, and PWD. There is also a reservation for girls and a home state Qota for NITs.
In terms of placements statistics, my college is among the list of those high-rated colleges where the placements are excellent. Many companies visit here and provide many offers. last year about 320+ companies visit the campus and about 850+ offers they made and the salary is also very good.
My self Paras Parimal from Engineering and computational mechanics branch. I am from Jharkhand. Have done my matriculation and intermediate from CBSE in deoghar, Jharkhand. My hobbies include playing outdoor games.
The placements in here mostly take place from the 7th semester, but the students get very good internship opportunities from the 5th semester, which might convert into a good PPO. This year there were almost 250+ companies visited and the offers made were more than 900. The highest package is around 80 LPA and the average placement package is around 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 98% and with good opportunities.
The admission process is much similar to all the NIT and this requires the student to qualify for the JEE MAIN exam in the first place. Then comes the counseling process held by the authority called JOSAA on a national wide sector. The students are given all the eligible choices to select and people generally find out their choices online. Two mock allotments are given which mostly predict the allotted college. This is followed by the original allotment which is generally of 6 rounds. Therefore after all the procedure is handled by the college administration.
The admission process was very smooth. I gave JEE main exam. Then through JOSAA counselling, I got into NIT Jamshedpur. You can find the application form on the official Jee main site. While filling out the form you get category benefits in form fees.
KhBy - Kritivas hembramI qualified JEE main entrance exam. Eligibility is you should have completed your 12th class or you are appearing 12th class. Application form fees are 750 for general/OBC and 350 for Sc/St candidates. In fees, you get reservation benefits. No tuition fees for Sc/St students. Overall very smooth admission process.
