What students say about Christ University

Likes

  • Professors are the heartbeat of a university, and you can rest assured that CU has the best of the best professors.
  • Of course, Christ provides internships that are best suited for M.com students at Christ.
  • It was excellent from an insiders point of view as the college has almost placed 80% or more students from college itself, though the intake for the MBA was around 500.
  • I believe that the best way to learn about any scholarships is to check the official website and contact the university office.
  • There are excellent facilities with a very good sports department, providing access to a variety of sports for the students and two good sports grounds.
  • The food is one of the best I have ever had. No one can beat the Christ canteen; you can get every cuisine over here.
  • The college has the best faculty and management, and the management has appointed student representatives to collect feedback from students for management.

Dislike

  • Our classes are from 6:30-12 and then from 1-3 for 3 days a week, and on the other days, they are just from 6:30-12.
  • No, I am not aware if there were any scholarships or loan facilities offered by our college that I know of.
  • The hostel facilities are provided on campus, but they do not provide food.
  • The only negative remark Id say is that the red tape in college is just the most annoying and excruciating thing youll ever go through. Its like if you think getting something done in a government office is bad, Christ is ten times worse.

Placement Experience:

Our campus offers placements in very reputed companies such as the big 4's like EY Goldman Sachs and also in other companies like de shaw the placement Percentage is almost 100% except for the students who opt for higher studies

Remarks:

The eligibility for the course is 60% marks followed by an exam and then an interview. You can find the application form on their website and the application fee is 1500. They don't tell you how you scored on the exam. The BBA course is hectic at christ University

Placement Experience:

The placements are not satisfactory, there are good companies making offers but the students are made to accept the offer and given no choice by the placement office. I became eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester and companies like Kock Industries, and Deloitte came to our campus. The highest package offered was 19 LPA.

Remarks:

The cut-off for admission was 65% above and anyone who has completed science courses in their 11th and 12th was eligible to apply. the application form, fees, and application dates are updated on the official christ website. The application process was smooth and I think there were no errors

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year, you become eligible for placement, I would say those are not so great for BBA students but yes mba is also fine, it more depends on you also. yes, college does bring the company in bulk, those are okay kinds.

Remarks:

The application was easy you need to fill out the form on their website, and there was a test on their website date and time was given, then after that, you get called for PI where you had to give a micro presentation, after that you get called for admission if selected l.

Placement Experience:

The placements are also nice. From the 5th semester, students sit for placements and companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Walmart Labs, Yulu, Upgrade, Deutsche Bank, Wipro, Wells Fargo, etc., come for placement.

Remarks:

The admission process was very smooth. The entrance exam named CET was taken and final admission was on the basis of 12th and 10th Board exam marks and Personal Interviews. In order to get more talented students, they should keep a cut-off for the entrance also.

Remarks:

It was an easy and user-friendly process the cut-off was 60% but the interview was tough but made it! The only thing I would like the college to improvise on is making the online process easier for the students

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 3rd year. In between that internships can also be done. The university has a long history of successful placements. Around 150 groups from different fields approach the university. There is also continuous change in the rate of placements every year. More than 85% of the students get placed every year I am opting for going for higher education abroad after completing the degree.

Remarks:

Admission to Christ University is based on the entrance exam conducted by the university followed by a micro presentation and an interview. The application form, fees, and dates will be available on the Christ University site.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements at the start of their final year and the companies start visiting one after the other. Mostly by the end of the penultimate semester, half of the candidates who have applied are placed and the remaining placements happen in the final semester. The college even provides opportunities to students who are not placed even after graduation. The number of companies visiting for placements is north of 50 and almost 1000+ offers were made in the department of commerce alone. The highest package hovered around 15 LPA and the average would be around 5.5 LPA. The prominent companies to take the graduates are Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, EY, Bain, BCG, McKinsey, ICICI Bank, Tresvista, Standard Chartered Bank, South Indian Bank, etc. 80% of the students who have applied get placed during the placement process. My plans are to higher studies after the degree.

Remarks:

So for Christ University, there is an entrance examination called CUET which stands for Christ University entrance test. First of all, there is a test and then a personal interview round with faculty members. A candidate must qualify both to get admission. The application form can be found on the website of Christ University. The application fee for Indian students is around 1500 rupees. The application dates are in multiple rounds with first-round starting somewhere in November or December. The process is held entirely online.

Placement Experience:

The placement for LLM compared to that of LLB is less. Placements are provided by various MNCs and law firms. There is also a PhD where we get to do the research while the college provides the students with a decent amount of stipend.

Remarks:

The eligibility criteria are to have a graduation degree in law (LLB) with a minimum of 50 per cent from a recognised university. The application form will be available on the official website of the college, where we have to register and create an account. The application fee is 5000/-. After which a mail will be sent to our provided email ID with a link for the entrance exam. The difficulty level of the exam is medium, and it will be conducted through an online platform called Moodle. Once you pass the exam, within 1 week a link for an interview will be sent and it will take place through the zoom platform. After 1 week you'll get a mail stating the acceptance of admission or rejection. Once selected you are directed to pay the fees. Students loan are also available

Placement Experience:

The companies visit the office in the final year. For Media and Communication Studies program, the companies come mostly for the students of Advertising and Corporate Communication (Specialization 2) rather than Multimedia Journalism (Specialization 1). However, all the students are free to sit for all the companies. Some good brands come up for placements and take students every year. However, the good part is that even if you don't get an opportunity from the campus placement, you will always get an edge because of the university name when you apply to any of the companies. That's especially when you're applying in Karnataka or the Southern region.

Remarks:

There were three stages. First, you need to submit your portfolio and SOP. Second, there's a written exam with two sections - objective and subjective. And, at last, there is an interview round. The evaluation of the candidate is based on all three of these. The application form, dates, and all the other details can be found on the college website.
