Life at campus is amazing. There's a cricket stadium and indoor badminton court. Various sports events are conducted annually where you can represent university. The sport events can be solo like badminton, table-tennis or team events like handball, cricket. Cultural fests also take place around july-august every year where you may have opportunity for national level representation. Then there's NSS club who are interested in social services. The library is huge with millions of books and journals available for reference and there are places for peaceful study time. Computers and free WiFi is available to students.
Life on the campus was okay. Nothing much festal. Cultural diversity as in the different ethnicity among the students and faculties. Gender ratio depends on the department but we were 12 female candidates among 15. 3 were males. All sorts of religious people are welcome.
The PG average rental is about 5500. College hostel have limited seats.Lots of PG' available in Mysore. The fee is just expensive. Stay and food is cost minimum of 5500 which is not possible for average students
Extracurricular activities are conducting every year. cricket, football & shuttle game's have been conducted.University have a cricket team which is selected from the students of msc first to fourth semester.
There are many groups in our department but non of them are upto the mark and this is the only sad thing in the university of mysore the students and they are not all helpful for all students in the university of mysore
The extracurrucular activities are also given much preference. Sports students are provided with many facilities and separate scholarships. Almost every sports are played in campus and well versed coaches and trainers are available. And an internation cricket ground is available and also many indore courts are present.
Hostels are one time better but as promisely they should increase their quality,as well as in the food or in the materials that they provided, food is quite okay, but not purely acceptable, but overall rating of study environment is good,we can rated hostels as 3/5
It is basically a university hence there should be a availability of cultural activities, yearly they made some compititions of A-Z modes of activities, which includes desi and also other countries, many sports were played at the time of dessera.

The campus is beautiful and the city was closer to my family who were based in Bangalore. My experience has been great and made lots of friends. The faculty are amazing and they are there to help you when you approach. The admission procedure was based on entrance exam. Selection criteria was your graduation marks plus your entrance marks. Then they will announce the merit list depending on the programmes you selected. For life science programmes you have common exam for 10 departments. I selected biochemistry, microbiology, genetics and molecular biology. I got selected in all 4 but I chose biochemistry because that was my subject of interest. Then I had to fill the admission form on-campus
