Final semester students are eligible for placements. You can register for campus drive via email and you'll be notified regarding interview. For life science students campus placements are less and handful of companies arrive for campus placements. 10-12 students get placed every year with 4-5lakh per annum package.
But majority of them prefer going for higher studies and thus prepare for entrance exams. If you have cleared phd entrance exams then you can apply for a spot at your professors lab and you will be getting fellowship.
The campus is beautiful and the city was closer to my family who were based in Bangalore. My experience has been great and made lots of friends. The faculty are amazing and they are there to help you when you approach. The admission procedure was based on entrance exam. Selection criteria was your graduation marks plus your entrance marks. Then they will announce the merit list depending on the programmes you selected. For life science programmes you have common exam for 10 departments. I selected biochemistry, microbiology, genetics and molecular biology. I got selected in all 4 but I chose biochemistry because that was my subject of interest. Then I had to fill the admission form on-campus and pay fees for academic year in campus bank. Along with challan copy, I had to submit my relevant marks cards. Then the admission is complete. I chose this university on feedbacks from my seniors who studied in the same university.
There is only positive remarks for me about college. The faculties are high educated and give every knowledge about the study materials. And about the labs also I have positive remarks about college. All lab facilities are available here in our college.
Our university is good in academic part and it is having well better infrastructure than any university in Karnataka and the teaching unit is good and this is the plus point of the University and the students are well taken care
About my college there are only a positive remark because our college provides quality education for deserving students and also provides extra curriculam activities also. Only negative remark is that there is no transportation of the college students have to come to college by thier own vehicles or govenment or private buses.
In some cases of free period no one will be come.good place for study, excellent condition of the sorrounding. You should maintain 75% of attendance, otherwise lucturers never let you to face examination.so keep attendance with regular.
