Course Details
Chandigarh University MA Psychology admission 2024 is open now. Admissions to the MA (Psychology) program will be granted on the basis of CUCET, an entrance exam conducted by the university. CUCET 2024 Phase 1 registration has been started from October 20, 2023. The last date to register for CUCET 2024 Phase-I is May 30, 2024. The last date for the CUCET 2024 Phase-I Exam is May 31, 2024. Eligible candidates can apply online on the university’s official website – cucet.cuchd.in.
Students need to possess a BA Degree or equivalent in the relevant stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from any University. Around 5% of the total seats of the course are reserved for the wards and spouses of defence martyrs.

Chandigarh University MA Psychology: Course Details
The following are the important details one needs to know before applying to the programme:
- MA Psychology is a full-time regular mode program divided into 4 semesters.
- The first year consists of basic courses on the fundamentals of psychology.
- The second year provides the student the freedom to specialize in areas like Organizational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Criminal Psychology and Positive Psychology.
- The course curriculum is designed based on recommendations from industry experts and leaders to match the standards defined by national and international accreditation bodies.
- The examination system consists of 2 parts:
- Internal Assessment: The internal assessment consists of 40 marks out of the total marks. This can be conducted through hourly tests, surprise tests, quizzes and tutorials.
- External Assessment: 60 % of the marks are awarded by external examinations after every semester.
- A minimum CGPA of 5.0 is required for the completion of the M. A course. Non compliance to this might result in the cancellation of a year.
- A minimum of 75% attendance to the lectures is a prerequisite for the course completion. A specific set of marks are also given to students
- The University offers more than 70 elective courses are provided to the student
