IIT BHU BTech Admissions 2023 are over. JoSAA has released the round 1 – 6 cutoff for IIT BHU. The BTech CSE Cutoff 2023 for IIT BHU remained 656 – 1079 for General Category. IIT BHU offers BTech as its flagship program where admissions are granted as per JEE Advanced score followed by JoSAA counselling. JoSAA releases 6 round of seat allotment for admission to IIT BHU. IIT BHU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must pass the class XII examinations with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects and must in the top 20% percentile in the 12th examination
Students must secure 75% (for general category students) in aggregate in class XII, and 60% (for SC, ST candidates) from a recognized state or central board.

IIT BHU B.Tech Selection Criteria

The IIT BHU selects its candidates for B.Tech through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
The students must appear in the JEE advanced and must have a score above the IIT cut off score.
The shortlisted candidates are invited for the counselling process.
The Joint Association Board conducts a total of 8 rounds of seat allotment i.e 2 Mock rounds and 6 rounds of counselling for allocation of seats to the participating institutes.

IIT BHU B.Tech Admission Guidelines

Admission to IIT BHU B. Tech is strictly through JoSAA counselling after the completion of JEE Advanced.

Applications are made online through the official application portal of the college.
BTech aspirants must fill the application form of JEE Advanced through the official website of NTA.
Admission is done through counselling conducted by JOSAA based on the rank obtained in JEE Advanced.
The counselling process is managed and regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
Candidates are allotted seats in seven rounds of JoSAA counselling.
The seat allotment is based on the college cut off and candidate's preference of courses and colleges.
The registration and choice filling of JoSAA generally begins from the third week of June in online mode.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are around 50-60 credits per semester. This means you will have around 5 courses per semester with 2-3 classes of one hour each per subject. There are around 30-40 faculty members in civil engineering. Exams are quite easy to pass if you follow the curriculum. Passing exams is not much difficult here.

In IITs you don't select a branch you get it coz of your rank. The same thing happened to me of course. Faculty to student ratio is pretty good here. Faculties are definitely highly qualified and old professors had a traditional method of teaching. In a semester, there are two term exams- mid-term and end-term.

LIFE AT MY COLLEGE

In my family, there is already 4 civil engineer so I influence by them thus I also choose this course. In my batch there are 140 students and maybe around 550 students in civil engineering and the available faculty for them are 30 so the ratio is quite good (i.e. for every 20 students there is one faculty available) Faculties are very knowledgeable and have remarkable qualifications from foreign countries and teaching methods are available both offline and online. Smart techniques are also available like projector, mic, speaker etc. There was 2 exam in each semester and the total semester is 8 so we have to give 16 term exams and there is also summer vacation and winter vacation between them. Difficulties are not much that issue every student starts to study a week before the term exam and got decent marks.

IIT BHU (VARANASI) - A choice to be at ;HONEST REVIEW ; killer placements and amazing college Life;

I took Electronics engg @ IIT BHU , primarily as per cutoff but moreover there are other strong reasons of chosing this deemed institute having a history of more than 100 yrs. it has great alumni network Benchmark placement records perks of being an iit holy place to enjoy awesome coding culture greenful campus faculty:student ratio is like 1:130 but apart from that their are teaching assistants and other mentors which facilitate the understanding of academics well. teaching faculties in the first yr are assistant professors , who are highly qualified and experienced as supposed to be. Talking abt teaching , so that is specific to the teacher but i find that 70% times teachers are very helpful and supportive with excellence teachings . there are good opportunities in lab and research . term exams are as per schedule all the times , with rare changes in schedules and yes the exams are really hard in most subjects like maths and computer (1st sem) and of moderate level in some too.

lets explore IIT BHU in a different way

I choose this course because the placement opportunity is good here. Almost every faculty is foreign-qualified. their teaching method is also good. all are highly qualified. all have done their Ph.D. and some professor has post-doc also. exam pattern is also quite nice. we have midterm and end-term examinations per semester. it is not that difficult to pass. 98 percent of students pass it without any difficulty

The ratio is around 1:123, Faculties are usually PhDs and reviews happen after every semester. 2 examinations were held each semester within a gap of 2 months. Passing is relatively simple.

Mixed Place

The Electronics branch and IIT BHU was a good balance of branch and reputed IIT. The branch is also considered a circuital branch which provides subsequently more opportunities during the placement season. Most of the faculties are highly qualified and some are recognised researchers in their fields. Mid sem are held at the end of the second month of each sem while end sem is at the end of the fourth month. Assignments are given variably according to profs. Passing these exams is fairly easy but getting good grades is really really hard!
