University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) was established 1917. It offers courses like BE, ME and Ph.D across various departments. The admissions are done only through a Common Entrance Test (CET) / Aptitude test conducted by the Government of Karnataka.

The college was founded by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvarya and is affiliated with University of Bangalore. The college is situated at K.R Circle in Bangalore. UVCE is situated in Jnana Campus which is expanded over 50 acre campus.
Only recently the college completed its 100 years of inception. Around 97 companies visited the campus and recruited more than 430 students through the placement drive. Almost 90% of the students got an opportunity for recruitment.
