Kerala ANM Admission 2023: Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for Kerala ANM Admission can be seen as follows:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th from a recognized Board with a minimum of 45%. Candidates belonging to reserved categories get a reservation of 5%.
  • Candidates must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.
  • ANM Course is open to females only.
  • Candidates must be fluent in Malayalam. They should be able to read and write in Malayalam.

Candidates an apply for the ANM course by following these steps:

  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on downloads and then the notification
  • A detailed notice of how to fill the application will be visible.
  • The application form will also be available
  • Candidates are requested to take a printout of the application form and fill it accordingly.
  • Candidates will be asked to fill in their personal and educational details.
  • Attach documents like Birth certificate,10thand 12th Marks sheet, Nativity Certificate, Income Certificate of Parents, Caste Certificate, Disability Certificate, and Challan of Application form.

The application form should then be mailed to the center, which is listed in the notice. Applicants from Trivandrum, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Kottayam districts should submit the filled applications to the Principal of Junior PHN School Kottayam.

Applicants belonging to districts of Idukki, Alappuzha, Ernakulum, Palakkad, Thrissur, Malappuram should send their application forms to the Principal of JPH School, Palakkad

Candidates belonging to districts of Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod should send the application forms to the Principal of Junior PHN School Kasaragod.

Kerala ANM Admission 2023: Selection

The ANM Course Selection procedure in Kerala can be seen below:

Candidates will be selected purely on a merit basis after considering the marks scored at the 12th examination. As a tiebreaker, the candidate with higher marks in English will be given preference. If the tie persists the older candidate will be given preference.

The selected students will then be asked to undergo a medical examination. Once their certificates are verified they will be selected. A list of the students selected will be published at the concerned institute.

Ans:- Yes, a stipend of INR 500 will be given to all selected students as a stipend.

Ques: Is there a bond of any kind for the students of ANM in Kerala?

Ans: Candidates getting selected will have to sign a bond with the Government worth INR 500 that they will serve the Government for 2 years after the course is completed. Those who withdraw from the course will have to pay a hefty loss of INR 10,000 plus other losses incurred by the Government.

Ques: What is the maximum duration in which the course has to be completed?

Ans: The course has to be completed within a maximum duration of 4 years.

Ques: Are the institutes open to all students?

Ans: The admissions to the Junior Public Health Nurses Training School, Thycad, Thiruvananthapuram is only for the SC/ST students
