Department of Medical, Health & Family Welfare(DMHF), Government of Tamil Nadu conducts Tamil Nadu Auxiliary Nurses and Midwifery course (ANM). It is a two-year diploma-level course that is divided into 18 months with 6 months of compulsory internship.

ANM is offered in different government and private nursing institutions situated in the state of Tamil Nadu. TN ANM Admission is provided based on merit in the prior qualifications of the applicant. The candidates are shortlisted in the merit list released. The selected candidates have to then appear for the seat allotment and counseling process.

Tamil Nadu ANM Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill  the following eligibility criteria for the admission process:

  • Candidates must have completed their class 12 examination from the HSC board.
  • Candidates must have passed with at least 40% marks in the science stream on the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in HSC.
  • Candidates must have acquired the age of 17 years and must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu State.

  • Visit the regional center of the official conducting body.
  • Along with filling the application form, certain documents are needed for the admission process.
  • Candidates must carry along the requisite documents for the admission process.

Tamil Nadu ANM Admission 2023: Merit List

  • After the registration process is over, a merit list of eligible candidates would be made available by the official body.
  • The admission into the course would be made entirely based on marks scored in the entrance examination.
  • There is no entrance examination entirely for the admission course.
  • Candidates need to meet the required cutoff as per the statutory body for getting admission into the course.
  • The rank of the candidate will decide the institute in which the candidate will be getting admission.
  • The merit list displayed by the body highlights the rank of the candidates, marks scored, and category of the candidate.

Tamil Nadu ANM Admission 2023: Counselling

  • After the release of the merit list, candidates can attend the counseling session. In the counseling session, candidates will be allocated colleges based on marks scored in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates do not have the option for filling the college choices and options. The list of allocated colleges and students’ names would be made available by the official website.
  • Allocation of rank will also depend upon the category of the candidate and seats reserved for those particular candidates.
  • It is mandatory to show up in the counseling process with the requisite documents. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the candidature.
