You will not regret your decision of enrolling in this program. As a student, you will definitely have some predilections regarding the program. The fee is a little higher and you might question your ROI as well. But once you get to know the program better, you will realize that joining it is not a mistake.

As with any program, this one also has its pros and cons. 

• The faculty here is great. You will see that the department has teachers from various countries which will bring its own perspective to the class. 
• You will attend a class every day and who knows, you might as well fall in love with some of the subjects given the exciting way they are taught here.
• You might not like the campus life here but you will also see some improvements. A lot of festivals are organized around the year and personally, the Onam celebrations are the best. However, at some point, you might feel a little isolated considering the campus is quite a distance away from the main city.

The program itself is anchored in Dubai having some of the best service sector practices. A multi-cultural environment exposure is offered and you get to experience life in a global manner. The curriculum also has been internationally benchmarked and you will get to work with multinational companies.

You will also get exposure to internships in the UAE with a high-paying stipend of AED 3650 and an average of AED 1873 per month. Most students join IMT Ghaziabad campus after a year. Your final placements will be taken care of by this institute.

Overall, Dubai will definitely be productive and you will enjoy added exposure to the MBA course provided you can afford it.

You will be surprised to know that PGDM Dual Country (DCP) and regular PGDM courses are similar with the only difference being that PGDM DC would let you have your 1st year in Dubai. My sister recently completed her DC course, and here are some of the similarities and differences between both the courses you need to know before opting for this course:

• For both DCP and PGDM, the subjects are the same however the books differ by being global and Indian editions respectively.
• In DCP, you have to take the initiative for projects, competitions, and events individually. Whereas, in PGDM, you will get assisted by committees.
• The infrastructure of IMT Ghaziabad is brilliant and offers better and unique campus life, however, the fees are also a lot.
• You will see almost no difference in placements of either course as they are conducted in Ghaziabad in the 2nd year.
• There is also no difference in the selection process for the interviews.
• Finding a summer placement while belonging to DCP might be challenging.

All in all, DCP is arguably a good course for business enthusiasts. However, every great thing comes with a cost. This course is a bit expensive. If you feel that placements are the ultimate goal for you, pursuing regular PGDM from IMT Ghaziabad would do. But if you see your scope in global business and budget is not a constraint for you, go for DCP without a second thought.

The DCP program still has not reached its true potential and is still under experimentation. The students who have joined the program get an opportunity to take part in a short-term project in Dubai.

The project is a mini internship that gives you a chance to enter the corporate world of the Middle East. The short-term projects are a little difficult to come by but they are great for improving the profile. Some of the noteworthy names that offer STPs are Jumeirah, Jumbo Electronics, Al Tayer, etc.

The GITEX experience is an added boost for the students who are in marketing where one has to be in touch with their skills in negotiation, sales, and perseverance. In my friend’s opinion, they had a better time with the Indian faculty than they had with the international faculty but they were not bad either.

A number of the students were successful in converting their STPs into internships. The openings and the performance of the students determine the conversion. It is the same for converting the internship into a final placement offer. Some of the big names are Al Tayer, Flydubai, Apparel Group, Landmark, etc. The Indian internships offer better chances of full conversion than the foreign faculty.

The DCP and Full Time offer final placements in the Ghaziabad campus. If the campus is visited by companies from Dubai, the DCP is at an advantage and generally ends up getting shortlisted. In my friend’s opinion, DCP is a better option for students who are interested in pursuing marketing.
