Remarks :
For M.Tech students have a B. Tech degree. CCMT counseling has been conducted every year by a particular NIT. GATE-qualified candidates can apply online for counseling by submitting a fee. State reservations are for state students and other reservation according to government rule is applicable. The benefit of the reservation is seats are reserved.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am an Electrical Engineering background and I am interested in the power system branch for my further education. The faculty-student ratio is about 10:1. Professors are well qualified and experienced and their teaching method is good by smart study and practicals are enough for understanding. Tests are conducted every two months and semester exams are in 6 months. Exams are not too tough if studied sufficiently and attended classes regularly.
Placement Experience :
Final-year students are eligible for campus placement. PGCIL and L&T are the companies that came for the Electrical and Mechanical branches. Some oil companies also came with an average package of 10 LPA. More than 80% of students were placed. I was placed as an Assistant Professor and I want to continue my future in teaching.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee hike policy has some advantages and some disadvantages. It depends on the student by student. It should not be very high for all students' education. I got a GATE fellowship for 2 years from MHRD. 8000 rs per month now it's 12400 rs. I got an assistant professor job in campus recruitment.
Campus Life :
Hills fair is the fest conducted every year in December month. The library is good, magazines are available with the latest date. Classrooms are smart and full of facilities. Sports and other activities are a time to one. There is a social group PRAYAS for teaching the children in nearby villages. There is a magazine published by a student group.
Hostel Facilities :
Bed, Almira, Table, Chair, and Wi-Fi/ LAN facility available in the hostel. Meal quality is good, and breakfast and snacks are also very good. Hostel registration is online and affordable. Room rental is not easily available because of locality is not like that.
