Remarks :

Admission is through Josaa by qualifying JEE Mains and the cutoff for Civil was around 60000 rank for the home state. Application for jee mains is available on the NTA website. Around 95%ile score is enough for admission in the civil branch.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty of the civil branch is quite good. The professors are very knowledgeable and well-experienced. Teaching methods are different for different teachers like presentations and some from textbooks. The exams are semester based including one mid-sem and end-sem exam per semester.

Internships Opportunities :

There is a separate cell that helps students with getting internships by providing them with the latest opportunities open in different companies so that students can apply. Moreover, students can also do their internships under a professor in their research projects.

Placement Experience :

Students get placed on campus in their final year. Placement packages in core branches are not that great like an average of 5 lakhs but in CSE the packages are quite good. Companies do visit the campus for placement. There is a dedicated placement cell in the college. The highest package for cse was about 1 to 1.5 cr.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fees for the general category vary from around 70000 to 80000 per semester. The hostel fee is around 30000 including all charges. Packages in core branches are not that great but companies do visit the campus. The government does provide scholarships.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is quite good. The college is located in Himachal Pradesh and thus has a beautiful campus location. Moreover, there are various clubs like dance clubs, music clubs, Pixonoids, etc. Hillfair is an annual cultural fest organized at NIT Hamirpur. In addition to this other various events are also organized.

An affair with the hills

Placement Experience:

Average package: 12 LPA, Companies: Many good companies visit here but not many of the top tier due to location factors. Highest package: 52 LPA by CRED. The placement percentage is high in CSE and ECE.

Placement Experience:

Placements start from 6 th semester. But you can have it early too it just depends on your knowledge. Many companies visit like Wipro, Google, Apple, and some mass recruiters. The highest package is 25-30 lakhs (as per unofficial). Chitkara claims 100% placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of my interest in electronics and communication. There is a total of 60-65 students in my class. The all teachers are well experienced and well qualified. They are very helpful. The semester exam is conducted at the end of the semester by HPTU and the exam is neither very hard nor very easy.

Good placements are provided for the student company's visit to the college. After 5th semester a student can sit on a placement exam. the eligibility for the exam is you have to have a minimum capacity of 8.5.

Review of NIT, Hamirpur

Placement Experience:

The placements are very amazing on our campus. The average package is around 10.5 lakh annum per annum. The companies visited in our college are Morgan Stanley, Titan, JP Morgan, Adobe etc and offer high packages. The highest package for our college is 1.4 Crore and the lowest is 6 Lakh. While the average package is around 10.5 lakh. I am planning to do MBA for top IIMs.

BEST COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

As Computer Science and engineering are popular these days. I chose this course because I love problem-solving. I enjoy the technical site so computer science fits best me. The student-teacher ratio is 10:1 to ensure every student gets to follow the activity properly and remain attentive throughout. Faculty members are very experienced in their fields and look for the overall development of students in their subjects. All the faculty members are well-qualified, and all are punctual on time. The course curriculum focuses both on the theoretical and practical knowledge of students. The courses eventually change over time. Term exams are not so tough to pass. Regular attendees can easily pass the examination with a good pointer.

Good placements and a beautiful campus

Placement Experience:

Placements especially for computer science students are very good. As it is having an average package of around 14 lacs and the total average package for all branches is 7 to 8 lacs per annum. Almost all known big tech companies visited campus for placements. The highest package is around 1.51cr and the average package is 8 lacs per annum. Approximately 95 percent of cs students got placements.
