Panjab University M.Com Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for M.Com admission at Panjab University, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Candidates having a B.Com degree, BBA or graduation degree in Economics/Statistics/Commerce/Mathematics with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- Applicants who have passed the CA, CWA, CS or AMIE examination with 50% marks can also apply for M.Com in Panjab University.
Panjab University M.Com Admission Criteria
Admission to M.Com is based on the PU-CET(PG) entrance test conducted by the university.
- 60% of the marks weightage depend on the previous academic records of the candidate - 10% on 1oth standard score, 10% on 10+2 standard score and 40% on Graduation score.
- 40% marks are given based on the applicant’s performance in written and oral/aptitude tests conducted by the university.
- 15% weightage for pursuing the honours subject in Masters degree.
- 5% weightage for the graduates of Panjab University.
- The final selection list will be published on the college notice board and on the official website of the college.
- No student can get admission without being qualified in the entrance test.
How to Apply for Panjab University M.Com?
- Register yourself for the PU-CET entrance examination.
- Put all the needed details such as - name(same as 10th class certificate), date of birth, mobile number, email address, the course you want to appear for properly.
- Note down the application number, login ID and password for future reference.
- Log in to your account to pay the application fee. Payment can be done both online and offline through any branch of State Bank at least one day after printing the fee challan.
- The application fee for general category students is INR 2175 and for SC/ST/PwD students INR 1088.
- After payment login to the account again with ID and Password and upload your scanned signature, photograph and other needed details.
- After filling in all the details, lock (confirm) the application. Any unlocked(incomplete) application will not be accepted by Punjab University.
- Take a printout of the application after locking(successful submission) it.

- Marksheet of bachelor’s degree.
- Admit and scorecard of PU-CET.
- Birth certificate.
- Scanned softcopy of photographs and signature.

Panjab University M.Com Course Details
- This two years M.Com course of Panjab University consists of four semesters.
- Each semester consists of 700 marks in total.
- After the 2nd semester, all students will be going through a summer training of 6 to 8 weeks organized by any university approved organisation.
- The duration of the examination is 3 hrs for each subject. 80 marks for written/external exam and 20 marks for internal examination.
- Internal Assessment marks is allotted as follows:
(a) Attendance: 20%
(b) Written Assignments: 30%
(c) Mid Semester Test: 50%
