The candidates applying for admission to the M.Tech course at NIT, Hamirpur must have the following educational qualifications obtained from any of the recognized universities:

• The candidate must have a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor‘s Degree or equivalent degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology of minimum four years duration from a recognized university. 
• There is a relaxation of 5% in marks for SC/ST candidates, i.e, a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-Point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor‘s Degree.

NIT Hamirpur MTech Hostel

NIT Hamirpur is a residential institute and all the students are required to stay in the hostels. Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girl students. NIT Hamirpur MTech Stipend

NIT Hamirpur gives financial assistance to MTech full-time students in the form of stipend. The rates of stipend are approved by MHRD from time to time.
