What should be done so that placements at NIT Hamirpur can be like that of PEC Chandigarh?

My brother is from PEC Chandigarh, so I might be able to share some facts with you. Some important factors regarding placements of PEC include the following: PEC has an academic policy that requires you to complete a 6-month internship in an industry or a research laboratory during the fifth semester. It strengthens the industry-academia relationship while also securing good PPO. This policy does not apply to NITs. PECs alumni-institution relationship is one-of-a-kind because of its long history. Try to construct it at NITH so that in upcoming days itll be fruitful. A dedicated Career Development and Guidance Cell (former TPO) is required to contact and invite large corporations to the campus. With the practical approach to teaching and the freedom to participate in extracurricular activities, PEC students have a lower academic load than NITH students. The final but most important factor is the ability (not to be confused with talent) that the students develop here being a part of a club or society. Above all, study hard to gain good core knowledge, use your nit tag, and try to land good off-campus placement offers. This will certainly change the atmosphere on campus and your colleges image in the eyes of industry. The change will come gradually with time.

Life in a nutshell

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester onwards we get to sit in the placement interviews. Several renowned companies visit our colleges like Samsung, Wipro, wells Fargo, Paytm, oracle and etc. These Companies offer good packages of 8-9 LPA. The highest package is 1 crore above by many students. From my branch 96 percent of students get placement. After getting my degree I am preparing for isro.

Internships Opportunities:

There are many companions which offered internships like wells Fargo, taxes instrumentation data, and many more. These companies provide good stipends like 50-55k per month. To grab these internships you should have a project if you really want to grab it.

Students get placed on campus in their final year. Placement packages in core branches are not that great like an average of 5 lakhs but in CSE the packages are quite good. Companies do visit the campus for placement. There is a dedicated placement cell in the college. The highest package for cse was about 1 to 1.5 cr.

There is a separate cell that helps students with getting internships by providing them with the latest opportunities open in different companies so that students can apply. Moreover, students can also do their internships under a professor in their research projects.

Final-year students are eligible for campus placement. PGCIL and L&T are the companies that came for the Electrical and Mechanical branches. Some oil companies also came with an average package of 10 LPA. More than 80% of students were placed. I was placed as an Assistant Professor and I want to continue my future in teaching.

Internships are provided fo students from 3rd year. The training and placement cell is run by students. Students can go for internships no politics is done those who have skills get the internship. Internships Placement and training cell is set up and is run by students. Students are eligible for Interships from 3rd year .Students get in knowledge about internships from internships Placement and training cell. and can apply for internships it can be paid or unpaid. Placements are good of NiT hamirpur. In core branches companies of electrical , mechanical, civil students get placed on the average package of 9-12 lacs.Placemnets of IT and CSE is way too good in NIT hamirpur students got placed on package of 50 lacs to 1 crore. About 75-76% percent students got placed this year. Percentage of Placements for Cse branch is 92% For Electronics is 86-87%.

Internships Placement and training cell is set up and is run by students. Students are eligible for internships from 3rd year . Students get in knowledge about internships from the internships Placement and training cell. and can apply for internships which can be paid or unpaid. Placement Experience:

Placements are decent here. Similar to any other technical college CSE gets the best placements here also but the placements for the other branches are decent here. The average package is somewhere between 5 to 6 lakhs per year.

Students from the 6th semester onwards are eligible for placements. On-campus placements are provided no. of companies like Amazon, Oracle, Samsung, and Wipro visit NiT Hamirpur offering packages avg .12 lacs to 1 crore. Placements of Cse branch are way too good students have been placed with packages of 50 lacs -1crore Almost 70% of students get placed in this college. Though I have no plans for placement. As I said earlier my interest is in a government job.

The placements percentage of our institute varies from one branch to other. Computer science and Electronics and communication engineering have good average packages while other branches have many wonderful packages but lower average packages. But having skill in you can't affect to be in any branch. You can simply get a high package if you have the potential to fulfill the needs of the company.
