MNNIT Allahabad MTech Admission 2024: Dates, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Placements, Syllabus, Fees

MNNIT Allahabad M.Tech admission 2024 will be based on the GATE scores followed by CCMT counseling. For MNNIT Allahabad MTech Admission 2024, GATE Registrations have started from August 30. The closing date of regular registration is October 12, 2023. Along with that, the deadline for extended online registration or application process (with late fee) is 20^th October, 2023. Furthermore, GATE 2024 exam dates have been announced. GATE 2024 entrance exam will be held in the month of February. The exam dates for GATE 2024 is on February 3,4,10 & 11. 

MNNIT Allahabad offers its MTech program in 24 specializations within 9 departments for a duraion of 2 years. Admission to the MNNIT Allahabad is on the basis of the GATE exam and CCMT counselling. MNNIT Allahabad Mtech cutoff in overall for the year 2023 ranges from 350-596.

MNNIT Allahabad MTech is available in both full-time and part- time mode due to which the duration of this program vary between 3-5 years. Part-time candidates are required to have a  2 years of work experience after their graduation to be eligible for MNNIT Allahabad MTech program. Along with that, Foreign nationals are also eligible to apply for this program through the provision allowed to them via DASA. MNNIT MTech Important Dates 2024

Motilal Nehru Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Prayagraj (MNIT), was established as one of the 17 Regional Engineering Colleges of India in 1961. MNIT initially offered M. Tech as a full-time program in 19 specializations. 

At present, it offers MTech courses in 22 specializations within 8 departments. The duration of the M. Tech programs vary between 3-5 years depending upon whether the student opts for a full-time course or part- time course. 

Admission to the post graduate program is on the basis of a national level entrance examination, namely GATE. Foreign nationals are also eligible to apply for the programs through the provision allowed to them via DASA.

MNNIT was the 1st in the country to start an undergraduate program in Computer Science and Engineering in 1976-77.

The university has been recognized by the Government of India as one of the centres for Quality Improvement Programme for M. Tech. 

MNNIT Allahabad MTech Eligibility Criteria 

• The student has secured a minimum of 60% aggregate or a CGPA of 6.5 in the qualifying examination. The minimum marks regulation is relaxed for candidates belonging to SC/ST quota as per the norms of the Government of India.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent degree in a relevant branch of Engineering/ Technologies or a Masters degree in the relevant field.
• Part- time candidates additionally require a minimum of 2 years of work experience after the completion of their graduation program to be eligible for the M. Tech program.

MNNIT Allahabad MTech Admission Guidelines 

Admission to the M. Tech program is on the basis of the national level entrance examination- GATE. 

College teachers who have applied through the Quality Improvement Program. Candidates serving in an industry, sponsored by their employers.

Part-time admissions are granted by different departments on the basis of a written examination or interview. 

How to Apply?

To get admissions to the MNNIT MTech program, candidates will have to apply for GATE. 

• Visit the official website of GATE.
• Fill the registration form. 
• Enter name, email, and mobile number. 
• After registration, log in with your unique ID. 
• Fill the application form. 
• Submit application fee of INR 1500. (INR 700 for reserved category). 
• Take a printout for future reference.

Documents Required:

• High School certificate as a proof of date of birth
• Qualifying examination mark sheet or provisional degree
• Character certificate
• Migration certificate/ transfer certificate
• GATE score card
• Category certificate ( if applicable ) in the prescribed format of the Government of India. For applicants belonging to OBC( non-creamy layer)/EWS, the date of issue of the certificate should be after 1 April 2020.

GATE Exam Pattern

In the GATE exam pattern, the test paper includes two types of questions i.e. MCQs and Multiple select question / numerical answer type. The exam will be of 100 Marks with 65 questions. 

The GATE exam duration is 3 hours. The exam questions will be: 

• General Aptitude
• Engineering Mathematics 
• Subject-based.

MNNIT Allahabad MTech Course Details

MNIT offers specializations in various disciplines in their M. Tech program. The courses are mentioned below:

MNIT follows the regular semester system, i.e., the odd and even semester system as a part of its M. Tech programs. A full- time program is usually for a duration of 3 years while a part- time program goes up till 5 years. 

The full- time programs are further divided into 3 broad categories, namely-

1. Full- time Stipendiary: Under this program, students are eligible for financial assistance in the form of a stipend at approved rates as per the norms of MHRD. This stipend shall be awarded to students on the basis of semester wise results on the recommendation of the Head of Department. The stipend currently given to students is approximately INR 12400.
2. Full- time, Non- Stipendiary: Under this, no financial assistance is provided to students.
3. Full- time Sponsored: Under this program, financial support is received from AICTE under QIP scheme or from Government/ semi- government institutions and organizations. Such candidates need to be sponsored by their employers, and must have been in employment in the organization for a period of at least 2 years.

4. Apart from full- time courses, MNIT offers a part- time M. Tech program to students who have been employed for at least 2 years after the completion of their undergraduate degree. Classes for part-time programs are held in the evenings on working days. Their semester wise course work requirements are half of the full- time course requirements.
