- To be eligible for the Certificate courses in IGNOU, students should pass 10+2 level from a recognized board or equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.

The registration process for Certificate courses is available in both Online and Offline mode. Candidates need to follow few steps to apply:
Online Mode:
- Candidates must visit the official website of IGNOU and register for the desired program on the 'Online Admission System' portal.
- After verifying the necessary details applicants must click on the link 'Register Yourself' button and fill in all the necessary registration information. The username should be of 8-16 characters and password should be alphanumeric with 8-16 characters.
- Applicants must click the “Submit” button once all the details are filled, following which the candidate’s username will be instantly sent to the registered email ID and phone number. This should be saved for the future login purposes.
- Applicants can login and enter personal details, program details, qualification details, course details, and correspondence details.
- Candidates with different choices of subjects which are not mentioned there, can click on the “Others” checkbox.
- Candidates with Graduation or higher qualification should select “9999” in the “Board Code” field.
- The application fee must be paid through net banking/ Debit/Credit card/ ATM Card (PNB).
Offline Mode:
- Students need to visit the official website and can download the application form which will be available along with the prospectus.
- The application form should be filled and submitted to the department’s address.

Every year, IGNOU holds its TEE (Term End Examinations) in June and December. The practical and theoretical parts of the same course must be mentioned separately in the exam form, and the fees are also separate for both. The exam fee for both theory and practical courses/papers is currently 60/- rupees. Typically, a grace period of 10-20 days is also allowed for the submission of examination forms, with a Late Fee of around 1000/- rupees as of now. The exact end date of the grace period as well as the late fee amount are communicated separately. If the previous examination's results have not been declared, you should include those courses in the exam form. You may also be exempt from paying the exam fee for such courses. At the time of exam form submission, confirm this with the respective study center.
