The University of British Columbia Placements: Salaries & Top Recruiters

Placement:

Around 70% of my seniors received and accepted job offers within three months of graduation whereas the rest chose to pursue further research. Some of the top financial firms where they are currently working are Bank of America, Merill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Google, Blackstone Group, etc. Their starting salary is in the range of $65,000 - $75,000.

My professor asked me to apply here because it is one of the top 50 universities in the world and among the top ten in Canada. After his recommendation, I did some research on my own and came to know about its state of the art facilities and also interdisciplinary learning programs and decided to submit my application. The fee was $168.

Average post study placements are good. Like most of the students purse master after completing their Bachelor program

The University of British Columbia is one of the most oldest and prestigious universities. The only deal behind making my choice was placement is good for this university.

There are always new company posts and visits being announced on the student dashboard. On average, there would be 3-4 new ones per week. And a lot more internships offered on the UBC career website. The placement process depends entirely on the company's requirement and preferences. And the median salary is under $100/month, depending on the type of internship, and the industry you are applying for.

I have heard a lot about the University. Their representatives have visited us many times. UBC also offers a "testing" online learning session where students would get to be a part of the program for several sessions. This has allowed me to fully experience how my class would feel like if I were an official UBC student. UBC also offers many clubs activities and are especially good in helping students find jobs and internships.

The location of the university (Vancouver) I attended high school in Vancouver and I was familiar with the city. Also, UBC Sauder school of business is well-known and has a good reputation.

Placement:

There are a lot of options for students doing bcom in aspect of future placements. After our second year we can choose a subject we would like to specialize in and then we can persue a career in that course. For me I am hoping to take real estate as a major in my third year and then work in this sector in the future

I chose this university as its business school had a very good rating and it has one of the most beautiful campuses in the world

Very good, good placements. Helpful team for career placements. Lots of resources for help. After graduation help available. Good reputation at companies.

Did not experience that part yet but we can apply for CO-op programs from second year and get to work for companies like L’Oréal

I am not sure about post-study placement but I think it is quite high. Can make good connections for research-related positions while in school.

This university had the program I was interested in and was the most reputable university close to where I lived. I did not want to move too far.

Haven't been able to figure this out because the opportunity hasn't presented itself yet but hearing from older students the opportunities are very good

I chose Sauder because it's the best business school in Canada and it also has a relatively lower price than other universities of this caliber, especially for international student.

Placement:

Great opportunities. KPMG, Deloitte, Goldman have all recruited at UBC Sauder. Students are well connected to industry professionals. Most students are usually placed in a job. Median salary is approximately 40,000$ in the first year of work.
