South Indian Vaniar Educational Trust college is a general degree college that offers Arts, Science, and Commerce courses. It is situated in the Velachery Main Road Tambaram near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college was founded in the year of 1966 due to the initiative taken by Honourable Justice Mr. S.A. Ayyasami Chettiar through establishing a charitable trust in the year 1960. Then Tamil Nadu government allocated a site for the trust of area 27.47 acres at a minimal cost and the college was established at Gowrivakkam in July 1966. The college is affiliated to the University of Madras. In 1992-93, the SIVET college started its own self-financing streams as II shift, in a separate wing with B.Sc. computer science being the first course in it. The college had secured B++ grade in the NAAC accreditation.

SIVET College Chennai Admission

South Indian Vaniar Educational Trust college offers 8 UG courses and 2 PG courses under aided stream that comes under the official affiliation of the University of Madras.
