JNU MA Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility required for the MA program at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is 50% aggregate marks in the previous qualifying examination and 30% marks in the entrance examination conducted by the NTA for the JNU admissions

MA in Economics Bachelor’s degree in any discipline securing a minimum aggregate of 50 % marks, with familiarity with Mathematics at 10+2 level for admissions in M.A Economics program.
M.A. in Politics (with specialization in International Studies) Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 education pattern with a minimum aggregate of 50 % marks.
MA Arts and Aesthetics
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 academic pattern. Applicants must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50 % marks to be eligible for admissions.
MA Sanskrit
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sanskrit or in any subject under 10+2+3 education pattern from any recognized Institute or University.
  • Minimum aggregate of 45 % marks for admissions to M.A in Sanskrit.

JNU MA Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to MA at JNU must clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. Admission shall be granted on the basis of performance in the CUET PG exam. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by the university.
