Course Details

JNU MPH admission 2024 will be based on scores obtained in the CUET PG examination, conducted by the NTA. CUET PG 2024 registrations are open now and the last date to apply has been extended to February 07, 2024. Interested candidates can register online on the official website @pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. CUET PG 2024 exam will be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024. Registrations for MPH admission at JNU are expected to start in June after CUET PG result declaration. Check JNU Admission 2024

JNU MPH Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for MPH admission at JNU, candidates must fulfull the following requirements:

  1. An MBBS Degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized institution.
  2. An M.Sc. in Nursing with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized institution.

JNU MPH Admission Criteria

Admission to MPH will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. Candidates must clear the CUET PG exam in order to get admission to MPH at JNU. No Viva-Voce will be conducted by the university this year. The selection will be based on the basis of performance in the CUET PG exam. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by the university.

JNU MPH Course Details

  • The course consists of three semesters. 
  • Intensive field study of district health systems is involved. The field study takes place in inter semester breaks and in the fourth semester.
  • Out of 36 credits, 27 credits are given to course work and remaining 9 credits to field study.
  • There are two types of courses:
  1. Core courses with 14 credits
  2. Optional courses with 13 credits.

JNU MPH Syllabus

  • Field Study comprises a description and an analysis of the district health structure. Community Health Centre,Primary Health Center and Sub-Centre and Village level are included in this.
  • Data is collected at all levels related to health structures, health programmes and their extent of reach to the public.
