Manipal University (MAHE) BDS Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the Manipal University (MAHE) BDS shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • For Indian Boards: Candidates must pass intermediate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and English individually from CBSE, ICSE, or any state board with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
  • For ‘A’ level: Core subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology in the ‘A’ levels and English in the ‘AS’ level.
  • For Indian Baccalaureate: 
    • Core subjects should be Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
    • IB Diploma or Certificate with an average of 4 points in each subject and an overall minimum of 24 points.
    • Minimum two science subjects in HL.

Manipal University (MAHE) BDS Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the BDS program at Manipal University (MAHE) are required to appear for the NEET UG entrance examination. Candidates who clear the examination will be required to register for the online counselling process, conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Manipal University (MAHE) BDS Program Details

  • Clinical case studies and demonstration.
  • Performing various restorations on the phantom head and also on patients.
  • Workshops and seminars.

Assessment:

  • Formative and summative assessments are carried out.
  • At the end of year II, pre-clinical exercises on the phantom head using typodont teeth and viva voce.
  • At the end of year IV part II, theory exams include essay type and MCQs. Practical exams include clinical case studies, restorations on patients, and viva voce.
