NIT Jalandhar

Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology came into existence in the year 1987. It is popularly known as NIT Jalandhar and offers various undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses. 

  • Admission to the BTech program at NIT Jalandhar is done on the basis of performance of the candidates in JEE Main or JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counseling.
  • 15% supernumerary seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) under DASA ((Direct Admission of scholars Abroad) scheme. 50% of the entire seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the state of Punjab.

He or she is responsible for all the academic and non- academic activities of the college. Every staff is well versed in their field with high graduation. Their ways of teaching is one which is really inspiring to the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee in the University is found to be very feasible. It is easy and possible for all students to pay it without any difficulty. Every student has to pay the fees in a year to year basis. Each year has two semester?s for about six months of each. The yearly payment of fees includes the fees for both the semesters. It is also very affordable to all students of every stage.

Placement Experience :

The placement department of the University undertakes the many steps to achieve the desired results for the students. It conducts Placement Test well before the placement arrives in each and every department (Final Year Students). In-plant training or internships for students are provided in industries during summer and winter vacation.

The faculty of the college is too good to be true. They are smart, kind and really helpful. They are reservoirs of knowledge and always believe in sharing the knowledge as much as possible. Moreover, they take personal interest in the growth of every student.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum of the B.Com course is similar to any other B.Com course just the difference is that here, the focus is majorly on the practical experience of a student. However, regular examinations are held to check the theoretical knowledge of a student.

Campus Life :

To bring students closer and together and to inculcate a feeling of belongingness, students are allowed to organise events and fests. These acts are highly appreciated by the students and also my personal favourite is the Annual Commerce Department Fest.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is in accordance with the modern industry and technology trends. The labs focused on helping us gain practical knowledge which we require in our post college life. Although, the exams were frequent and schedule was very tight, but this is the case with every engineering college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is Rs 1.03 lakh per year during the four year course. The fees was affordable for me but some of my friends had to apply for education loan to pursue the same. This amount is comparable with other colleges that offer E courses.

Faculty :

The faculty is highly qualified and most of them have done research work in their respective subjects. They take keen interest in imparting their knowledge to us. They are always available for doubt clearing sessions and also help in project related work.
